If Clement is also favourite for WBA and guessing premiership maybe his choice I have to say that is a very disappointing list. Mowbray sacked by last two teams, Hughton with a reputation for negative football and two hot heads in Lennon and Sherwood. And then there is Appleton! I hope TB has something surprising up his sleeve.

With Clement apparently seeming unlikely now, in the words of the late Brian Moore 'It's Up for Grabs Now'

I seriously don't want Clement. I hope West Brom snap him up

Have a mate who works for the Evening Standard and he text me to say Laudrup was on the short list. I wouldn't take anything he says as worth noting but it was put in a serious context. Media speculation should not be listened too or that's what I keep telling myself.

Shocked to see Mowbray so high up the list. Seems like a decent fella and they LOVED him at WBA despite relegation....BUT...his managerial record since then is poor. Celtic was a disaster and his spell at Boro was equally abject and depressing. I couldn't feel more apathetic towards an Albion managerial appointment, were it to happen.

Would take him, but didn't he say after he left Swansea that he doesn't envisage a return to English football

He said he envisage unless the mighty stripes came knocking. Nothing in it IMO.

if not Clement it has to be Sherwood, I really cant stand the other choices, they are just so dull.

We are something of the order of the eighth largest budget in the Championship looking for a top six place with good boardroom support and excellent facilities. £500k a year salary. A nice managerial post for sure.

It could be we are looking for the Premiership jobs to be filled before our man becomes clear and we all move forward.

FFS, how can a scout be a decent football manager!!!! FFP forcing us to bivouac in the New Forest next before next season's away match at Bournemouth?

He is only 25-1!
