And all the while the players and their union delay and find excuses to avoid cuts the England cricket teams take a cut and agree on how the money is used. Not difficult just requires them to demonstrate they care about something other than their lifestyles.
Not great at all.
They are supposedly professional athletes performing in the highest profile league in the world, where small margins can and do make all the difference. They are on a training trip fully paid for by the club and therefore indirectly by Tony Bloom and yet on a night out they...
As it stands right now, we need a solid defensive base on which to build and some fight and character in the team. I am a lot less worried about my defenders being comfortable with receiving a 5 yard pass in their own box and more about getting clean sheets on which to build. Frankly Duffy is...
Whilst I am miles away from the Potter out camp and enjoy the way we play, I do think that this may well be the season we drop back to the championship. The manager hasn't got the attacking players needed to win enough games in my opinion. If the decision to sack the manager in the summer was...
Have to say I do fear for us this season. The lack of goals that has been obvious for our whole tenure in the top division doesn't appear to be any closer to being solved. I know injuries have been problem but March, Propper etc were hardly prolific in terms of goals or assists previously so I...
I haven't read all the way back so it may have been answered but I cant see any advantage in loaning out Andone and leaving the forward line as an aging Murray, unproven Maupay and very raw and inexperienced Connolly. An injury in there and we are in trouble. A knock for Maupay and we are back...
Not in favour. Lets be honest nobody in the ground including West ham players and fans thought that was offside. The only person who knew spent 2 minutes drawing lines on a tv to be sure. To me they are just looking for ways to disallow goals. Presuming this is here to stay then the offside...
Low as it stands. The squad seems weaker to me than the one that finished last season so badly and I worry that the management think that it was all CHs fault due to not utilizing the players correctly, which I don't entirely see.
Need some first team signings to cheer me up.
I am one of those who believe the current squad is not strong enough to survive and have been feeling pretty negative about the coming season. But I am going to try straw clutching for a bit today, until shot down on here. The sacking of CH was far from universally accepted amongst the fan base...
Surely if Potter believed Andone and Ali J were the answer as people keep insisting he would have given them more than 30 minutes? In which case a massive 3 week recruitment to come or TB will staring down the barrel of losing one hell of a gamble this summer.
Even you with you uber positive Albion mojo must be concerned about the quality of the squad as it stands. Lets hope that the recruiting team do better than some of their recent exploits because if they don't we will be back in the championship quicker than you know.
I agree totally. We are certainly no stronger than last season and we know how that ended. The sooner we get the signings in that are so utterly needed the sooner my fears for the season will reduce.
I don't think it has helped my angst that we hear from Barber how difficult the market is being so hyper-inflated. Not where this deal is concerned it isn't!
I like AK and think he is better than most of our other wide options and would always be disappointed by his departure. But I understand that the club has to be run as a business and if a great offer comes in, say 50m for Dunk, we will take it.
4M loan fee or 10M in a years time if reports are...
Season long loan and only 10m. The club cant be serious. Utter, utter madness. 10m buys the square root of nothing in todays market and we dont even get the money yet. Why do we need to do this, we are not even funding a replacement. Very disappointed if true.
