So far ahead of anyone else who has played the sport (batting at least), it has to be the Don.

    [Albion] Wolves away 5th Nov.

No, it was a Saturday 3pm ko. The away fans had part of the big terrace behind the goal, there was the enormous stand on one side when the money ran out and the other 3 sides looked a bit lost before Sir Jack came to their rescue. I think Eric Young scored the winner.

    [Albion] Wolves away 5th Nov.

Last time I went there to see Albion was in December 1984, a 1-0 win in front of about 7,000 fans. Nice greeting from the Subway Army on the walk in from the station. I doubt much has changed since then! :ascarf:

[Albion] Best European ground to visit for a game….

I’m doing the Berlin derby in January in the Olympic Stadium, a bit of a bowl but it at least means tickets should be easy enough to get.

[Albion] Best European ground to visit for a game….

I’ve done about 50 European grounds. Dortmund is great for sure. Some others Ive been to that I would recommend (I’m sure there are many others): San Siro (always a game there of course, easy enough to get tickets) Valencia Amsterdam Arena Feyenoord Malmo Anderlecht Benfica PSV and...

[News] Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Passes Away - 08/09/2022

Fair enough but that’s a bit contradictory from your previous post, to which I replied, which said: “Far from being deserving of respect, I feel they are a force for bad in our nation and beyond. I've not heard a single coherent argument to convince me otherwise.” So I responded with a...

Yes, you are correct. It is right to say that Cromwell had a significant role in Irish history but that was before King Billy’s involvement at the Battle of the Boyne.

I will give you just one example. Have you heard anyone say anything other than praiseworthy comments about Queen Elizabeth’s non-political role in the Irish Peace process? Both sides of the community north and south of the border were aligned in their comments and overwhelming praise. Could...

[Misc] Who on here has been to walk past the Queen's coffin?

You arrive top right of the stairs in this picture so no going through the corridors, literally the hall is the only part of the building you go into

[Misc] Who on here has been to walk past the Queen's coffin?

I did it yesterday. Joined the back of the queue at 05:30, entered the hall at 16:45. I have got to say that I found it quite a moving experience. The queue itself sounds daunting but it was a lovely atmosphere, you spoke to lots of people you would normally just have passed on the street, it...
