[Albion] Who will lead the EPL fightback against the Super League?

It gives you the ability to be taken seriously as a leader rather than a follower. The club has taken a leadership role in many other areas over the years, accelerating that stance over particularly the last 2-3 years. I find it both surprising and disappointing that they have chosen not to...

[Albion] Club statement re ESL - SPOT ON.

I will be delighted if that turns out to be the case. I would observe that Everton have no such qualms; their statement is far punchier.

[Albion] Who will lead the EPL fightback against the Super League?

Fair enough. I disagree with your position, but ok. However, if the whole point is to be united, I take it you also disagree with the timing of the statement - ie before the 'other 14' have opined as a group?

[Albion] Who will lead the EPL fightback against the Super League?

Ours is now out: "Brighton & Hove Albion are totally opposed to plans for a breakaway European Super League as it would destroy the dreams of clubs at every level of the domestic game. These plans are the latest in an alarming and growing list of clandestine attempts from a small group of...

[Albion] Who will lead the EPL fightback against the Super League?

First/early mover advantage has now been lost by the Albion (imo) in the fight against the ESL announcement, as it always is if your strategy is to wait for a committee (in this case, the ‘other 14’ PL clubs) to make a decision. Just about the entire football world has condemned the plans...

[Albion] ST renewals - how are they going?

There is only the faintest of circumstantial evidence, but I do think renewals generally will be materially lower than prior seasons.

[Albion] ST renewals - how are they going?

Interesting. I can PM you the email address of someone in 1901 who, I'm nigh on certain, will respond, if you like...

[Albion] ST renewals - how are they going?

For 1901, the website has this to say to potential new members: "The 1901 Club is currently sold out however, if you join the waiting list now you could be given the opportunity to purchase 1901 Club seats for the 2021/22 season onwards..." It made me wonder how renewals are going generally...

[Albion] Who will lead the EPL fightback against the Super League?

As I said in one of the posts you quoted, I think time is of the essence in this particular case. It's the first time I've ever advocated urgency. I'd also say that I will be surprised if nothing does come out today.

[Albion] Who will lead the EPL fightback against the Super League?

Yes, I considered that point, and that may be the case. However, imo, time is of the essence and, additionally, any such group will need one or (max) two public leaders. I’m more than happy to sit out today to see what comes out of the club, but I’ll be sorely disappointed if nothing does.

[Albion] Who will lead the EPL fightback against the Super League?

 I do understand your point. However, if one wants to be seen as a leader (and I’m referring to the club generally rather than any one individual) one needs to, errr, lead. Various national and European authorities have already issued statements, as have influential individual figures...

[Albion] Who will lead the EPL fightback against the Super League?

I wondered about this too. I was surprised, and frankly a little disappointed, to see the only comment on the club’s website was the PL’s press release. I hope and expect a club statement at some point today.

    [Albion] How's your memory.

    8. Further proof, if any were needed, that I have absolutely no interest in what happens in football outside the Albion.

[Albion] To Avoid Potter Bashing - Staying Up Tracker - 2020/21 - Game 38 Update - 1 OVER

It’s true that we’re not mathematically safe, but I do believe fir all practical purposes we will be in reality. Now I’ve gone and done it.

[Albion] To Avoid Potter Bashing - Staying Up Tracker - 2020/21 - Game 38 Update - 1 OVER

I wondered the same thing before I posted, but presumably the same is true for a Europe line, which Giraffe has managed somehow...

    [Albion] F*** me, Lallana’s impressive

Yep, I do now understand your point better, and it has merit. But I think his way has merit too: “look, we all need to improve. Here’s some specifics about what I need to improve, what about you?”. Perhaps it could be a style thing, rather than him really meaning “I know I said “I”; but we all...
