Maybe so - but I don't think that would be under the s75 cover; it would be under the T&Cs specific to the credit card, and a perk. Your credit card may have such a perk - give them a call?
Not committing fraud is a good idea!
s75 doesn’t cover accidents, no matter who the owner is. If the TV was faulty on delivery (say, the screen was already smashed when he took it out of the box), then he’d have a claim. But falling over and smashing the screen - nope.
Perhaps the OP has mis-remembered? Perhaps he bought the TV...
Firstly, I’m very sorry to hear of your son’s medical problems, and of the accident with the new TV.
s75 is intended to put the buyer into the same situation with the credit card supplier as with the seller. If the seller should provide a refund but does not, s75 should kick in. I say ‘should’...

"Sanchez, who has had nothing to do all game, makes a late run into the box and hits a pearler into the top corner. 10-0. Palace's humiliation is complete".
What?
I had a piss standing in the next urinal to Ian Paisley (sr) in a HoC bog, and he was certainly a unit. A quick google says he was apparently 6’5”. I’d guess he was 18 stone.
Have I been whooshed?
I’ve got one that’s about 5 years old in a place I seldom use. Utter bobbins. Go for the standard type (vented, of course). To keep the noise down keep the diameter of the outlet pipe as large as possible (typically the exit hole is 5” or 6”), and use solid pipe for the connection to the outside...
At the moment, we're this (3) big. In 10 years' time I hope we'll be this (4) big. But we could be this (2) big. I'll still go to games, sometimes enjoying the game, sometimes not.
