    William Hague

Was always looking to save the country money by sharing rooms with aides whilst out and about so just in that respect he was one of the good guys.

Bleacher Report on football gambling/Tony Bloom

How is Tony getting around this Owners and Directors exclusion from the Football League They are found to have committed a breach of the prohibition on betting on football in England and Wales. Overall though there is nothing new in this. No direct quotes or actual figures - just guesses. I...

    Pubs in Horsham

The Stout House is of course the correct answer. Small, proper pub with an eccentric landlord.

Breaking Bad V The Wire V The Sopranos V Boardwalk Empire V Others

Can't believe how few mentions there are for Lost. Miles ahead of its time and constantly borrowed from subsequently. Lost, Sopranos and The Wire are the big three in my book (not seen BB). Also Friday Night Lights and House have hardly been mentioned.

Rumour Bloom preparing to sell club

Possibly (and I have no evidence for this) the club could have been sold for a profit if we had got into the prem within 2 or 3 years of the Amex being built. The longer we are not in the prem, the liklihood of any profit being possible become less likely as you have to factor in the on going...

    Ward Off to Burnley?

Dick Knight in his autobiography says he fell out with the Friday Ad shareholder over club spending. He argues that if you are not moving upwards as a football club - it is easy to fall into a downwards spiral - worse players - less fans - less income -worse players etc. Its a fine balancing act...

    Ward Off to Burnley?

Completely agree. Full backs are key in the modern game as this is often where attacking space is created. Wayne Bridge on top form made a massive difference for us as does Bruno to a lesser extent when he is on his game.

    Lee Wallace (Rangers)

From a Rangers fan in my office who alerted me to this initially: "He’s an all round good guy now and didn’t walk away when Rangers were in trouble, although he gave Ally the option of letting him go if he needed. He was rightly our player of the year last year. Love watching a full back run...

It is being stated that we have made an offer - however i didn't witness it first hand.

We have made an offer for him possibly. Apologies if elsewhere but could not see it. Source is SunSport (scots version) and tweets.

    Experimental Fantasy Premier league Team

Have entered a team as per usual this year. Wanted to go for this experimental team but won't let me play this formation. Can anyone help? Harper £4.5 McShane £4.0 Upson £4.0 Sidwell £5.5 Barry £5.0 Hammond £4.5 Bridcutt £4.5...

    Stream for tonight?

The one where he misplaced at least 3 passes and failed to open up the Crawley defence during 90 mins of a pre season warm up. Don't get me wrong, generally i think he is OK as a player and needs a run in the team. However - considering he spent three quarters of last season as persona non grata...

    Stream for tonight?

Was at the game as thoughts as follows with the proviso that this was a pre season game which makes it harder to judge. Walton - looks OK - needs to beef himself up a bit. Maksimenko - looked OK at CB - did not have that much to do but looks comfortable on the ball. Chicksen - again looks OK...

Britain and our place in world football

We (the FA and England management) need to develop a system and style of our own that we can impose on other teams and choose motivated, athletic, intelligent and reasonably skill full players to implement it. Note that this will probably exclude most of the players from the top premiership...

Advice wanted - 92 clubs in a season?

£100 per game average cost (ticket, travel, accommodation sometimes, beer, pies, programme for proof). So £9200 plus contingency - £10,000.00 approx????

Where does English football go from here?

Stop being so blinkered in our selection of players. Why when so few English players play in the premiership do we refuse to even consider players in the championship. Will Hughes and Trippier should both have been considered and even Ings if he had been fit. Why is Lambert suddenly a better...
