Brighton and Hove Albion vs Barnsley *** Official Match Thread ***

Given that most will have bought season tickets on the assumption that the games would be on Saturdays and Tuesdays, perhaps many simply have other things to do on a Sunday which take priority. I agree though, it is quite disappointing and reinforces the need for a proper ticket exchange.

Fifa Ban England Football Team From Wearing Poppies On Their Kit

I think the problem is that in all of your examples the individuals concerned are not overtly representing the nation. Here, the national side are representing England on national television actually ON Armistice Day. You would quite rightly expect other individuals who are representing the...

**** Watford FC vs Brighton and Hove Albion - Official match thread ****

I'm afraid however you look at it, a professional football team incapable of producing one single shot on goal in 94 minutes of football is abysmal.

**** Watford FC vs Brighton and Hove Albion - Official match thread ****

Completely agree - we have achieved 0 shots on goal for our 54% possession; Watford have achieved 7 shots on goal for their 46%

Considering only Barnsley, Peterbrough and Doncaster

Surely it depends on what makes a club 'big'. As others have pointed out, if 'history' is considered the main factor in how 'big' a club is, we are a smaller club than many in this division. However, if current attendances or revenue is used as the yardstick we are easily top half.

    Eurozone bank bail-out.

Yesterday's deal can only work if there is major institutional change in the Eurozone, which will involve all national budgets having to be scrutinised and approved by some new body (possibly a European treasury). Major institutional change means major treaty change. And major treaty change...

How on earth have you come to that conclusion. We have 20,000+ individuals buying programmes, food and drinks, as well as using the fans' bar and the restaurant in the East Stand. Around 3000 of these fans have also paid for their tickets in addition to the supplementaries. Conversely, you...

Ed Milliband... on his way out?

You ought to look at the various speeches made by Cameron about ethical capitalism - Ed has simply stolen the idea from him. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/cameron-urges-ethical-capitalism-after-crunch-1222122.html

    Seagulls Player...worth it?

The commentary can indeed be a bit ropey but for me it is still excellent value for money.

Would You have taken this start?

Absolutely. We could be sitting in the relegation zone and had a total capitulation against Palace.

    Keep The Faith

Absolutely. This is such a difficult division - there were always going to be ups and downs. It just so happens we're in a down at the moment. We are still only one point behind West Ham.

Because Palace are incapable of attracting large enough home gates.

    is stadium expansion under jeopardy

Also, let's not forget that the majority of the additional capacity would be housed in the East Upper which would, presumably, have its own concourse. The rest of the additional capacity would be taken by the two larger stands since there will be fewer seats in the North Stand corners for access...

    North & South Stand Expansion

Absolutely this. 30.500 will be plenty big enough for our purposes. We are never going to be a top six club. There are plenty of teams who do well in the Premiership with gates of around 30,000.
