Don't know about the geography but (with the exception of the South Stand), I've always thought that it was nicely apt that the stands at the Amex reflect in character the same stands at the Goldstone.Further to my previous post about the stadium tour, how many people have queried why the West Stand is so called when its clearly not West. Go on the tour and you will get the answer
Once the capacity has risen to 30,500 the next stage will be to make the seats narrower to fit in another 4,500 seats.
We are a provincial club so anything over 32,000 would be pretty unnecessary IMO. It will be soul destroying if we ever find ourselves in a 35,000 stadium in league one. Sheffield Wednesday anyone?
Indeed not, but we're only one division away from that.Hopefully we won't be back playing amongst the 'noddy clubs' (copyright Simster) anytime soon.

I think that would require changes to the roof structure. So not too easy.
Absolutely this. 30.500 will be plenty big enough for our purposes. We are never going to be a top six club. There are plenty of teams who do well in the Premiership with gates of around 30,000.
I think people need to chill about this transport issue. Suggesting it is 'chaotic' and 'out of control' is scare-mongering. It is 22,000 people getting out of a stadium, it is going to take a while. Have you been to Wembley or Emirates? People are just going to have to allow an hour to get away, that's life.
Why on earth do people think that they should just be able to Waltz away is beyond me.

I never understand this argument. For all those that "suffer" the transport problems I haven't seen anyone say they expect to "waltz out" I have ben to Emirates several times (not as a supporter by the way) and I think irt works fine given 60,000 people.
There are numerous "tweaks" the club and transportation providers can do and I hope they are but in my case I don't see it. I have to use P&R and have given up on Mill Road, now use Mithras but it pains me the time it takes to load buses, one at a time. Such things as loading multiple buses (not rocket science) better signage and stewarding (easy) and perhaps multiple pick up points aren't difficult.
Extending capacity without having the transport sorted is a No No.
As for the "waltzing out" I wish some would take a more reasoned stance to those that are finding it difficult
Know several Arsenal season ticket holders. Each Emirates game is a very long day, and despite £10m's being spent on the adjacent special station, they avoid it like the plague due to mega queues.
Another Emitares s/t holder spends fortunes on cross-north London minicab taxis, as so sick of poor transport to/from.
Arsenal are NOT an example of speedily getting away 60,000 punters.
