North & South Stand Expansion

Not the real one
Sneaky George is spot on, The roof cannot be altered at all. Its corners, upper East and thats it. 30, 500, which is a great capacity. The gap in the south west corner cladding is for more corporate boxes in the same mould as Derby's Pride Park.

Why would you need to alter the roof for a tier above the south? The roof is almost as far from the seats as the East, hence this thread. There are huge gaping holes there too and it looks too open air. I think you could put a tier on without altering the roof.

Stop winging about the transport, it’s been part & parcel of the football experience since I was a boy. Have you never tried getting in & out of Wembley or Old Trafford? Yes they have big car parks, but that is only relative to the crowd size, yes the do have a tube and tram service, but have you queued on them?
I live thousands of miles away and would love the opportunity to be delayed because i have been to see the team that i love!!!
What next? I love to go away but boo hoo I want to be home by 7.30!!!! DUH. Can the opposition move nearer?
As for the guys suggesting that they would go against expansion because they struggle to get a pint & a pie, with the crowd at it’s current size. f*** OFF THEN!!!! NEXT!! move along give the ticket to someone that appreciates what they have got.
Surely these are not the supporters that were happyish to get rained on and found that more often it was quicker to walk/run to Mill Lane than wait for the next bus? and all that when the team wasn’t even playing the way they do now.
Now we are whinging about fixture date changes!! What do you think will happen if we go up? 3pm Saturday’s will be a thing of the past.......It’s the price of success
On a selfish note change as many dates as possible for TV, it’s the only way I get to see them.
BTW thank you donny for showing the palarse how good they are, but not really, because i believe we are in for one of those freak results that they will try & bullshit their way out of for years to come.
We do not let 3 goals in period!! so special tactics Tuesday, 2 second half periods...brilliant!!
To be fair both sets of fans are brilliant! apart from the fact they can't be bother to pick up the shit from the horses that are pulling their caravans. So be it!! D’Urso Ummmmm!!
So it’s down to the heart & skill of the players. There it is, f*** off, get over it, go back up the M23. It’s not the first & it’s certainly not the last time you will be outclassed by Brighton............Home or Away.

That's not the point. As was mentioned earlier no one expects to 'waltz out' of the ground; we all accept that queuing and waiting for buses, trains or your turn to drive out of the car park is part and parcel of going to football. However there ARE a number of issues that need to be addressed and these are being discussed on threads on here with people sharing their experiences and offering solutions (practical or otherwise) based on those experiences. To call it 'moaning' is very negative - we can't expand the stadium until the transport is sorted and although the more 'happy clappy' fans don't like to hear any criticism whatsoever the rest of us want to help the club by highlighting the areas that could be improved.

A lot of organisations would kill for this level of customer feedback.

Rail: Without a huge investment no more trains can be laid on (admittedly it sounds like some of the trains could be filled more)
Park and ride: Mill Road is already at capacity and Racecourse is temporary. Would probably need a new P&R site.
Coaches: Seems to be some spare capacity on the Seagull Travel coaches. Could try selling match tickets with a coach ticket.
Buses: Sounds like it varies (then again buses tend to be a bit random in my experience!). Can't really expect the bus company to magic up buses for 25 uses a year.
Driving: Already has issues with Bennett's Field and any increase not likely to be liked by the Green Party.

Saying that people should be prepared for it to be a bit slower to get out of a slightly bigger stadium.

The disabled parking situation is a disgrace.

Not true about the Racecourse P&R being temporary.

Assuming the club can work it properly, the council is very keen for this site to work, and is confident it can do so. The two years' approval was a sensible precautionary last-minute addition just to see if it would work. If it does work, there ought not be too many problems achieveing planning approval in just under two years' time.

However, extra sites are probably also required.

Are the Greens likely to go for another P&R site though?

Who can say? It's not only the Greens - other parties are on the planning committee too.

Apparently, they're not mustard keen to encourage too many more P&R sites, but if it transpires that it works out being the best answer (or the least worst), they might well go with it. It depends on what is put forward, I suppose.
