I’ve had a bit of a rest since my Exmoor exploits but as my Strava friends know I I did complete the King Alfred Way cycle ride last week - (wrong thread, I know) -517km and 5240m elevation (mainly off road) in six days - so have also needed some more time off after that.

Went to Gingerman on Friday - a place that despite being one of the first places to step up the Brighton restaurant scene, rarely seems to get a mention on this thread.

Tucked up in bed early in Lynton ready for Exmoor Maverick Ultra in the morning. Weather here is glorious (in contrast to. Right on I hear), and course appears to be spectacular.
Only issue is 35 miles (further than I’ve ever run before)with 2700m of climbing to tackle.

its a circuit of Dukes Mound so has two climbs - the first is pretty tough. A quick look at 2018/19 results shows NSC Ego's in 10th place was our best result in 51:06. That team that ran 42mins were some top runners. I think that year we organised the teams to have the fastest in one team. I...
