I think @drew was being ironic - and actually advising you NOT to try Avanti. They run the West Coast trains, and are pretty awful when compared to the government run LNER.I will, what routes do the operate

Liberals have consistently, for decades, won more votes in local elections than the general election polls give them. This isn't because people are lying to the pollsters, it's because general elections and local elections are different.Again, what people tell the polls isn't translating into votes. There were five council by elections this week, none of which resulted in a Reform win.
There have been 184 by elections since last July, and they have won just 7.
Has anyone ever voted in one of these polls?Again, what people tell the polls isn't translating into votes. There were five council by elections this week, none of which resulted in a Reform win.

See the question below your postLiberals have consistently, for decades, won more votes in local elections than the general election polls give them. This isn't because people are lying to the pollsters, it's because general elections and local elections are different.
That will be at least part of the reason why Reform aren't getting the votes in local elections that you might expect - because they don't yet have much in the way of local election organisation or a track record of local political success.
More flights, more emissions, more noise - what's not to like!Rachel Reeves hints at support for Heathrow third runway
An announcement is expected next week, as part of major speech on plans to boost the economy.www.bbc.co.uk
Taken long enough for it to happen, but excellent news.
They've been talking about it forever.More flights, more emissions, more noise - what's not to like!
With the bellends in charge for 14 years, yes it will take a huge amount of effort. 1/10 of way into the term, no quick fixesIt will take a huge amount of effort to turn this country around. The party least likely to be able to achieve it are Labour .... after the Greens.
The indicator lights are already flashing red though. Whilst there is no doubt the previous circus has its part to play in that, it appears our new overlords learnt no lessons from the predecessors idiocy. With the bellends in charge for 14 years, yes it will take a huge amount of effort. 1/10 of way into the term, no quick fixes
It will be interesting how this plays out. They've been talking about it forever.
With 15% of people taking 70% of flights. Just give everyone a flight quota, after that you pay a significant climate levy.
That would halt the crazy expansion of an industry subsidised for decades with tax breaks
Energy prices (for industry and domestic users) are way too high for a start, and reducing them is the cornerstone of an economic recovery. Sadly that means binning off aspects of net zero, and getting back control of our oil and gas.

Reeves? And who has managed to drive this country into such a calamitous state that it will take 'a huge amount of effort to turn around'
She's had 7 months and ONE budget FFS.Reeves?
I sure you’ll agree it was quite significant, the old credit card took one hell of a beating. She's had 7 months and ONE budget FFS.

The other reason being they are shit.Liberals have consistently, for decades, won more votes in local elections than the general election polls give them. This isn't because people are lying to the pollsters, it's because general elections and local elections are different.
