Again, what people tell the polls isn't translating into votes. There were five council by elections this week, none of which resulted in a Reform win.

There have been 184 by elections since last July, and they have won just 7.
Liberals have consistently, for decades, won more votes in local elections than the general election polls give them. This isn't because people are lying to the pollsters, it's because general elections and local elections are different.

That will be at least part of the reason why Reform aren't getting the votes in local elections that you might expect - because they don't yet have much in the way of local election organisation or a track record of local political success.
