Liberals have consistently, for decades, won more votes in local elections than the general election polls give them. This isn't because people are lying to the pollsters, it's because general elections and local elections are different.Again, what people tell the polls isn't translating into votes. There have been 184 by elections since last July, and they have won just 7.
