Let's hope that GG, El Abd and Dunk all stay fit and 'available' if this is true.

Good Luck to Tommy, one of the good guys in football.

OP, were you talking about tomorrow as in Saturday or did you not realise how that it was Friday already when you posted? So is the player coming in on Friday (today) or Saturday (tomorrow)?

Arsegas are reporting that Bournemouth are in for Tommy - but no mention of a loan. I'd be gutted if he went on a permanent deal.

Cherries in for Elphick

10:12am Friday 10th August 2012 in Albion
Bournemouth want to hand Tommy Elphick a chance to relaunch his career in League One .

The Albion defender is close to completing a move along the South Coast.

Portsmouth were also thought to be interested in the 24-year-old's services.

Elphick missed last season with a ruptured Achilles but has proved his return to fitness in recent friendlies.

Portsmouth? Haha, they can't afford to pay a fee for him. Dream on, cheats.

Dont forget Vincelot and Calderon can cover quite well in the central role.

I hope it's only a loan rather than a permanent deal, but like pretty much everyone else, I don't see a route back into the team for him here. He's a good player and a nice guy, all the best Tommy.

Best of luck to Tommy, in fairness he is not going to get many games and GP alluded to some players movin on earlier in the week... Maybe we are starting to see a little bit of a player cull, and sharpening of the squad...

Good move for Tommy. Could leave us a bit short for 2nd half season depending on 'things'.

Andy Naylor has just tweeted "andyNaylorArgus: Tommy Elphick is on the way permanently, further along south coast. #bhafc"

Surley bournemouth?

Remember that the Echo is the Argus' sister paper in Bournemouth and they broke the news about Hoskins joining them before the player had been told anything which resulted in him being very pissed off and grabbing a loan deal to Sheffield. As I recall Naylor took the Echo comments as gospel that time too.

Could be permanent or could be a loan so best to wait and see maybe? If sold it won't be much of a fee but whether loan or sale it will be a good option for Tommy.

Does that hint at the previously mentioned Miquel loan from Arsenal or do we have enough cover with Vincelot and Calderon as fourth man to cover injuries and suspensions?

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
Tommy is a proper Albion through and through, and is worshipped by all the other Albion players, you can tell that on twitter.

I wish him all the best, he deserves and needs regular football, Bournemouth would be a great move for him and them.

So of the first part of this rumour is correct, will the second be? The lad from Arsenal sound likely but wondering where that leaves Abd/Dunk.
