AB has done it mostly for himself tho eh? Might be a fan, but gets easily top trumped by him seizing the business opportunity off the back of the years of hard graft by Dick Knight, Martin Perry and the very many Albion foot soldiers doing the door to door stuff on the ground

Stop re-writing history. Tony Bloom was one of those many foot soldiers, or does the fact he contributed around £18 million towards the club before he even became chairman not count for anything? Without Tony Bloom there is no Amex, we'd still be watching a League One club freezing our bollocks off at Withdean every other week. We all love Dick Knight but once the financial crisis of 2007/08 happened there is no way his business plan would have delivered the Amex.

Maybe not in 2008, agreed. Would still have been built by now tho, by somebody

So you'd be happy providing that somebody wasn't Tony Bloom? Yeah lets owe a load of money to either a foreign investor or the banks, that's if we could have found someone willing to invest or lend that money to a league one club. That is better than a life long Albion fan putting up his own money, interest free, to build us a stadium and training facilities that are best in class for all Albion teams at all levels to use. Very strange logic.

Those two names could just as easily be transposed. And with the hard yards of planning permission finally granted, somebody would 'of' built it

Not necessarily. There's plenty of examples of clubs - Grimsby, Carlisle, Stevenage just to mention a few - where someone bought the club waiting for somebody to come along and invest the £100m+ needed to get a new stadium. Usually it just doesnt happen, because there is very few wealthy people willing to spend hundreds of millions that they are fully aware they will never get back in their life times. Tony Bloom, unlike you, loves the club though and was willing to make a sacrifice.

Can we recall that striker we bought and immediately sent out to Stoke? Can't remember his name or if he's even doing any good

My mate who is a stoke fan said he has been injured a lot of the season and when he did play, he didn’t really have the pace.

Not surprising really. We have form signing injured players. LOL

I've done the stats, and I can confirm that Joelinton is worse than Locadia (and he hasn't got a DJ sideline either).

Joelinton: £40 million, 7 goals in 85 matches over 2 and a half seasons. Goals per game: 0.082. Xg: Confidential. Besides, everyone deserves 85 chances.

DJ: £14 million, 5 goals in 35 matches, over 4 seasons. Goals per game: 0.085. Hit records: 0. Gigs lined up: 0. Xg: No data. Well, it's Christmas, isn't it?
Linton is the go to excuse not to sign a striker from just about everyone connected to the club zzzzz

Fulham v Shef Utd tonight was very much BHA v anyone mid or lower table these days

69% possession v 31% possession - one nil away win

as Mick McCarthy pointed out, it all counts for nothing if you don't do anything with it

It depends on whether the maximum of 2 clubs in a season rule has been suspended this year like it was last year.

Currently NSC doesn't know for sure whether it is or not.
