In answer to the original question - let's hope not...

If he can learn to cross he might be a League One/borderline Championship winger one day.. otherwise he's a Blue Square striker.

Impact sub at best.

Every season is make or break for Jake according to NSC and he still survives

And every season is the one the the 'exciting young prospect' is about to make it big; but never seems to quite do so.

He may have had his time.

He's not the "lad with loads of potential" who is the shining light in the squad any more he's the "lad who still hasn't delivered consistently" in a squad that has been improved. Not a good position for him to be in.

Robinson is a different option to Forster, Murray & Virgo up-front. Small, tricky & pacy. He'll remain in the first team squad, but unlikely to start

Spot on, something a little different to the others.
Will be a very useful sub if we are chasing a game, or to come on when legs are tired and when Forster or Murray need a rest.
Valuable squad player for me.

Jake has had so many opportuntities... few clubs have been so patient with a player. I think he has finally oustayed his welcome. At best he will be an impact sub and IF he can start scoring from the bench he might have a chance. However, I expect the club will be listening for offers for him this season and he is unlikely to get a new contract when this one finishes UNLESS he finds goalscoring consistency.

So, Eastbourne or Lewes on loan?

Ive still got a lot of time for jake. He does flatter to deceive at times but i think we saw a general improvement from him last year and i think that Mickey will get the best out of him. As for where he will play who knows??? As already stated he will probably start on the bench but i can still see him starting 15 plus games next season

Had his chance. Not up to the mark . Time to ship him out and replace witha better player.

69 starts, 57 apps as sub = 126 games, 12 goals

its not really very good for a player of his"quality"

He's one of these players that promised so much, but failed to live up to his billing.

I'm prepared to see if he can get consistent under MA, but will he get much of a chance? Doubtful.

I always thought Jake was going to be like the Micheal Owen ( in his prime ) of League 1, sadly he's never lived up to that expectation. However, will Micky get the best out of him? Maybe; many managers have tried and in some games we have seen glimpses of him at his best, consistency is clearly his main problem and I'm hopeful Micky will address that. The lad's got bundles of pace and can finish; a bit of close man management and thoughtful nurturing may see Jake improve as a player.

I dont think he will get a look in at all, to be honest its his own fault, hes had plenty of chances and hes just wasted them.

I can't see that happening, only because Cox and McLeod would naturally push wide, and then you end up with one centre midfielder.

I would expect boring old 4-4-2.

He's no quicker than Murray and he's definitely not as tricky either. Basically, he's not good enough to start IMO and will hopefully only be used as cover.

Although I think Robinson's card was marked on NSC when Desert Orchid PM'd dozens of posters he'd never met before asking us to get behind some stupid campaign for Jake Robinson to be picked in the first team. Rather sad behaviour I feel. :nono:
