Race, ain't you meant to be in bed keeping Guy comfortable? Or has he got bad habits?:lolol:

Bad habits yes. He's got into the habit of not bringing me home a win bonus. Nuff said.

So if people have bad luck then you can't respect them? :jester:
I hope your friends win the Lottery.

I am a believer in you make your luck in this world and we are in this position because of many bad errors on MM part so therefore as a manager i do not respect him and that is my opinon.

I have not got any friends.

;)

Responding to what? You just seem to be randomly posting bollocks.

Go on then. Keep posting until he comes back. Could be a long night.

Of course he would admit he's made errors - that's obvious about every manager in the history of the game. But you appear to be working on an assumption that Dick Knight is judging him by results and performances alone. I don't believe he is. In an ideal world, sound business judgement would need to maintain that Dick Knight will have to be as certain as he can that offloading Mark McGhee is absolutely the right thing to do. Getting rid of him may not, in the chairman's mind, necessarily represent a resolution of what problems there may be.

There are many managers in the game who don't admit their own mistakes. Look no further than Mourinho - he even goes one better and says his team got a draw when they lost! Alex Ferguson and Brian Clough are 2 other managers who never could admit they were wrong.

Large One, I don't understand your point. You imply I'm taking a negative view on McGhee when my whole point is to try and stand back and look at the wider picture, rather than take a knee-jerk reaction after Saturday's relegation-dooming set of results.

Dick Knight doesn't particularly care who the manager is as long as the club is in safe hands. He will see that season ticket sales are not going as well as hoped, and that is partly down to a season of poor performances.

He will also see senior players losing it with McGhee, and he will realise that it is virtually impossible to attract any players of quality to this football club right now.

If Knight keeps faith with McGhee and we bounce back then he's saved a year's contract by not sacking him. However, if we continue to bomb we could just as easily slip into the bottom half of the Div 1 table.

I think Dick Knight will be getting pressure from the board, some fans and a few players to make a change, and I think it's the hardest decision he's had to make since taking over as chairman.

You undermine the serious and very interesting points you make in this thread by lazily repeating this canard.

He is not losing it with "senior players", squad morale remains terrific, every chat with the players reveal that - look at the words that Alexis Nicolas wrote in the programme if you doubt that.

The so-called squad problems resolve around 3 players, each of whom through their own performances were not first-choice picks anyway. Knight was a running sore for years, Big Mac didn't like being loaned out and Kuipers couldn't accept being dropped for Hendo. And that's it! These kind of clashes happen at EVERY football club among players who are becoming fringe to requirements. It is utterly normal. Ask Adam Virgo what he thought of the great man-manager Steve Coppell!

You wanna bet you annoying little tick? For these series of obssessive-compulsive posts, you get no response whatsoever. Learn a bit more charm if you genuinely want answers to your questions.

Count me in that still. For all the other elements he had to put up with, his teams were so frustrating.

Well I loved watching Small and Byrne in full flow and the playoff semi finals against Millwall rank high in my all time favourite (and scary at the away game) Albion memories...for that I'm grateful.

At the time I was delighted to see him go but that was probably in the forlorn and naive expectation that things would change for the better  How wrong could I be.

Thanks Barry Lloyd for some high days before despair set in

As I said earlier, I do find it interesting that history is remembering him in a far better light than was cast at the time.

His teams could be fantastic, then the next week utter gash and although there were some superb transfer deals, there were some truely awful ones, such as Farrington, Tiltman, Berry and Jasper.

Still all in the past.

Sorry but you are wrong there, MM got up and did a speach in front of everyone!!! DK sat next to Tank and co most of the evening and certainly wasnt quiet!

As for training once a week, are you being serious??!! :lolol:

So wtf do they do every day at training then - they certainly don't practice taking free kicks and corners. Can't remember the last time we got a free kick over the first defender! As a team with limited ability, surely this is one area the management could improve on as we have to try and make the most of any scraps we get! Shame they haven't got a clue.

LI, what do you expect the players to say? That the manager is shit and they hate him?

Let's take his previous employers Millwall. He was sacked for being a miserable bastard who nobody at the club liked from the chairman down to the tea lady, several players were pissed off with him.

Their chairman must have had misgivings to sack him, in spite of the fact they were comfortably mid-table at the time.

Leon, McCammon, Kuipers, Chaigneau, Reid - enough smoke for even the faultiest of fire detectors in my opinion, although I acknowledge the first 4 of those players were out of order as well.
