Now you are starting to fecking piss me off. ALL the reviews I read gave it 4 or 5 stars. I have never heard anyone say or write it is utter gash with terrible acting. Considering some of the fecking toilet some people pay to watch on this site it is a bloomin masterpiece. Now do one :censored:

I'd give you the benefit of the doubt except I have heard you RAVE about Will Young, X factor failures, The English Patient and Tony Adams as the best choice Albion manager after Coppell..... :)

Will Young - competant singer
X Factor - entertaining show, never brought one of their records in my life
English Patient - very good film
Tony Adams -maybe I was wrong, just maybe

I am passing on an opinion os this superb piece of work, whether you want to see it is up to you, everyone in the cinema yesterday absolutey loved it and it was the best audience reaction I have seen from a film in over 5 years. The thing is when a film is generally loved or rated , there is always some tosser who says, I thought it was gash or I didn;t rate it, somehow making him seem superior to the rest of the flotsome and jetsome. And this thread has unearthed a few of them already.

I think you mean The Labyrinth with a young and VERY BUSTY Jennifer Connelly.
No, I definately mean the Neverending Story, with the haunting theme tune sung by Limahl.

The never ending story was very good, I thought Return of Oz was also a decent little sequel to a very famous film, Chronciles of Narnia howver knocked them both into a cocked hat. Have I made myself clear yet ??? , do you know where I am coming from ???

I thought Harry Potter was great, and have enjoyed all the series of films.

Some people find it very hard to suspend reality and their cinisism when they go in the cinema..... when coming out of the HP film, i heard some numpty say.." it wasn't very realistic was it..." Of course it wasnt you fuckwit, there were dragons and mermaids in it...surely that would have been a clue.

We are hoping to go and see Narnia this weekend, having thought that the BBC adaptation a few years ago was one of the best pieces of adult/childrens TV ever, it will be interesting to see what the adaptation is like.

thanks gareth

Gaffer, within 5 minutes I was a 10 year old boy again. I remember reading the book which I loved, this film was all and more I had expected, don;t listen to the critics on here, some people will never be happy, also don;t leave when the credits roll as there is a little bit after that and most of the cinema stood up in the aisles to watch it until the very end. The place gave it a hearty round of applause and the film kocked me out. It is superb, have I made myself clear yet. Harry Potter was ok but this was different gravy.

I see you have downgraded Will Young

Maybe I just don't have your romantic outlook... that is not a knock btw

Easy

The big fella does not make an appearance until 70 minutes but when he does, tie yourself down and enjoy the ride. I am fully expecting to be blubbing like a baby when the big guy buys it at the end.

It really wasnt that amazing it was ok to good though. Reviews from the media mean f*** all, they all gave Star Wars 2 4s and 5s/5 and claimed it was a rival for Empire but it was utter toilet.

Kids will still love it, but its all a bit too rushed imo to cram it all into the amount of time the film lasts. I really wanted it to be amazong as I loved the book.

The effects really could have been much better in this day and age and the acting was dodgy in palces.

Albion Dan - with respect that is utter bollocks :p

Gaffer - surely everyone knows the big guy buys it at the end, I remember also getting into trouble for letting it slip the Aliens buy it from a virus at the end of war of the worlds, the book has been in the public domain for 60 years !

I dont care...there may have been a twist.... He may have turned out to be an assylum seeker with fifteen little chimps and an Orangutan for a wife to support....he would have been given a council house in New York and free school dinners, but the nasty authorities wouldnt buy bananas as they come from non free trade countries, therefore the Chimps starve, but they then meet a kindly old man who takes them all in, but as a price he wants sex with the orangutan every Thursday and Kong is found having an affair with a diseased badger, also looking fo a new life after being thrown out of the Falklands for worrying penguins....you know something like that

this is a joke right. i saw it. the child actors were wooden, it took so long to get started aswell

'we can walk through the wardrobe'
'i dont believe you'

for about 20mins!!!!

though i was tired and hungry so perhaps my view is unfair.

Have you been on Mars for 72 years.

It would have been nice if they could have shacked up in a penthouse flat in Manhattan but it was never going to happy mate.
