If it is not a history book at present not interested. Rather enjoying reading about the history and politics of the Peninsula War at present.

But thanks for the offer.

but at the time, he fitted the profile perfectly. I think of all of them he looks like what I would have thought HP would have looked like after reading the books. ( probably Ron too)

Therefore they had to take a punt on following it through.

the worst thing ever IMHO is where a character changes actor/actress during a series ( and HP is a series of films)

I know its spurious, but the only one I can think of, but Allo Allo changed actors and lost the initial impact....

Shit forgot to type that, the only reason he was cast was because he looks like HP, but, with modern make up technniques, surely they could've made up and gave a wig to a better actor?

But Elijah Wood actually brings something to the character, he can actually use his face to showthe emotion of the character

No he doesn't! He's got one expression - that of a bug-eyed cunt who's about to burst into tears. Elijah looking happy...Elijah looking sad...Elijah climbing up a mountain...Elijah about to shag his best friend up the arse...exactly the same expression. Everytime he comes on screen I have to look away cos he makes me want to smash his face in :lolol:

Best fantasy/adventure ever put to screen wasn't even a film, it was the original Dungeons and Dragons cartoon. Absolutely brilliant. Especially loved the baddy Venger.

Clearly an agreement can be reached you can dip Elijah Wood in Hot Oil After Skinning Him, if, I can stone Daniel Radcliffe to Death. Deal?

I'm planning on seeing narnia on saturday, i'm looking forward to this more than king kong. With regards to harry potter, i haven't seen all the films but i went and watched the most recent one a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. did fell that it was starting to drag near the end, mainly because i need the toilet! But i enjoyed the story and gave me a couple of hours of entertainment which is why i mainly go to the cinema

Thought Narnia was a bit disappointing, really. Perhaps having read the book and seen the series, it was never going to have a great impact, but I don't think they captured too much of the "magic" of the aforementioned versions.

I enjoyed Narnia but it felt like LOTR for kids. It was good but not amazing.

I reall enjoyed Potter though. Thought it was excellent.
