He ended up mid table in the premiership with Leicester in his only full season in charge and was top at one stage  :shootself
Just how shit Palace are doing is quite baffling. Either he inherited a shit squad and needs time to turn it round, or you've backed Palace for promotion. Which one is it, Garthy?

To be honest I couldn't give a flying monkey's arse whether he's an average, great or shit manager. He did a fine job for us. He left us in a higher position than when he took over. He made a group of players who individually weren't the best in the league into a team of players who were virtually unbeatable and were the best TEAM in the league.

He COULD have failed with Brighton. Other managers might have got us promoted but you can rest assured that there are more who wouldn't. So, he did a good job for us and that's all I really care about.

Is he being found out at Palace? Maybe. Or maybe they're being found out as the one man team everyone suspected they were.

Emmerson Boyce is a great player, but .....

PS - Bob Dowie was sacked today - it'll be interesting to see if results pick up (for us anyway).

I was refering more to the "I felt closer" comment. I liked Taylor more than Coppell and certainly more than Adams (although I like him more since he left us). Adams used to make cheap jokes about southern softies, faggots etc. & Coppell was just Palace. Taylor, in my opinion was a nice honest bloke.

In terms of his football, he got us promoted so I cant complain and yeah I'd take a 1-0 victory over a 4-3 loss every time.

Coppell was just Palace? What does that make Taylor? He made his name at Palace and is now managing them.

He took us up with Mickeys players; then f***ed off when his CV had something good on it.
I've met him & had a chat & he's a nice guy; but I think he's a crap manager!

He was only director of football, I doubt it will make any difference tbh.

But he played an integral part in their demise and slump towards administration!

He got the sack after 8 games so just like he got promoted with Adams team, he managed to get Leicester and Adams relegated the same season. Must be some kind of record that
