Bowlie's the last time I saw them too. I can do without the catholic boy slightly paedophile lesbian obsessed perv lyrics too. Having said that B&S are one of the few bands my wife and I have in common, so I do tend to (have t0) listen to them quite a lot.

You can also quite clearly delineate indiepop bands into pre and post B&S sounds I think. That slightly Lou Reed strolling shuffle that lots of bands picked up after B&S. Your mates Pocketbooks being a prime example for instance.

I'd left by this point - had work the next day and lived in London at the time. My wife almost pushed Stuart Braithwaite to the floor. The swimming pool was empty early in the mornings. The food was not so good.

I had a bit of a stand off with the singer out of Arab Strap, who was trying to move in on the girl I went with.

Although actually that might have been at the Sonic Youth one the year after.

What a list!
