Well, considering there is always the option of "rent a womb" to have a kid thats genetically one of theirs, and they still went for adoption - and not even a "buy a perfect baby from a foreign country", I would say they probably would have.

Sex with a child is wrong because they are highly unlikely to be developed enough emotionally to deal with it.

Surely two consenting grown adults of the same sex know what they want.

Before you throw your toys out of your pram and soil your pampers I may as well state I am familiar with the scientific context and use. The onus would be on you to explain why it isn't suitable as a measure in a social science setting , yes its arbitary but so is it in science, the difference being in the latter is that it has become the norm/convention.

It would be less ironic if I'd actually spoken English as a child, actually. (I come from an Irish speaking part of Ireland, although I can't string two sentences together any more).

However, there's not much need for irony considering you can almost see the scissors marks from the "Flaming 101" book you cut and pasted that from. The only problem is the complete lack of affect it has.
