It's a genuine question mate.
If she didn't know what was going on; how could she be traumatised? Often children are more affected by how their parents react in situations than the situation itself.

I'm not condoning what you saw; I'm curious as to why your daughter got into such a state?

We all have personal opinions, but I'd have thought that the best course of action would have been to sit down and explain things calmly so that she understands what was going on, rather than sweeping it under the carpet so to speak?

Depends where you want to raise your children, I'm happy living in 1974 with the exception of missing the AMEX and the Albion.

fair enough mate at least you are about to witness the start of the albion renaissance might even be in Div 1 soon and i have a feeling we might have a good cup run in the next 10 years.

If you are going to be my English teacher please review your post and take a look at your sentence.

you dont need capitals for a sentence to make sense - i still have no idea what you were trying to say - there was a chance it might have been interesting - why dont you repost?

In response to an earlier post. I was trying[/B to ] ask a question, whether the people who didn't give a toss about public indecency had children of their own. It was a seriously poor way of asking that question I know.

i unfortunately dont have children despite spunking an obscene amount of money on IVF - if it had worked i would not want them to be exposed to any form of public indecency - i was merely expressing surprise that a person born and bred within 500 yards of dukes mound would go there for a family stroll, fair enough maybe the council should put up signs to alert people to potential botty action....Although there would be plenty of people offended by the sign no doubt?

However I would want my child exposed to different life styles and not to see them as threatening. There is a whiff of homophobia about this thread - i would want my kids to be happy free, educated and not to see any prejudice. Simples really lol.

She doesn't want to talk about it and we don't know what to say to her, she was OK an hour or so later and ended up having a fun day out. She hasn't uttered a word about it since, is that good or is that bad? Normally she doesn't stop talking or asking questions about things she doesn't fully understand. What I do know is she was white as a sheet, shaking and didn't speak for a while after, that worried her mum and I very much.

The point is we shouldn't have had to witness this in the first place and the authorities don't seem to want to address it, furthermore the place is advertised online as a 24 hour cruising area and you won't get bothered by the police - that's appalling especially considering its proximity to family oriented attractions. We aren't the first to witness this and we won't be the last unless the decent folk (Gay and straight) demand that the authorities do something about it.

I have never written a letter of complaint about anything before in my life, I won't let up until they do something tangible to stamp it out - I have contacted the national press and local radio stations and I have received some interest from them to run a story, I am weighing up the best path to take at this time but I won't let it go until it's sorted.

Its a well known fact that half the gays in Brighton were born that way, and the other half got sucked into it.

Was it the 2 men + brown wing combo that bothered you or just the fact that your family came (ahem) across two people having sex? What I mean is would you have written a letter if you'd seen a man and a woman, or even 2 lesbos at it?
