He'd have done some damage in the Olympic TT.

Just watched the Eurosport highlights. Shocking coverage. And I only had one rider in finish in the top 20 ( had to check on cyclingnews), but at least that was good old LL.

Well played Woody. Enjoy wearing your funny hat (see Horton's pic).

Just done my team for the Vuelta. Have to say I'm a bit flummoxed by who to choose - got a bit of an idea who might do well over the 3 weeks but choosing stage by stage is tough.

The Vuelta and Giro courses can be so bonkers some years, early mountains, team time trials and almost mountain climing routes on goat trails. Makes for crazy races though, venga venga...

With a bit of luck I should have my beautiful bikes back within 3 weeks. There is one minor problem though. All the hills are closed for fear of rock fall in the next big quake. Sadly it will be flat riding for me then, until the roads are reopened. The mountain bike will have to go on a stand and stay there for a while. :(

Did a Vuelta team last night. Some late night tinkerings possibly Friday night and then fingers crossed. Early start for Hull on Saturday. I'm almost ashamed to say I'm looking forward to the Vuelta more than I am the start of the season, but hey ho, come winter time I'll be fully switched into all things Albion again.

Not sure if it has been discussed on here before but recently finished David Millar 'Racing Through the Dark'. Really interesting and enjoyable read and very enlightening although obviously from one guys point of view. Unfortunately it did not endear me very much to Millar and felt at times that he was being economical with the truth and had a few digs about Wiggins near the end about his ability to win the Tour de France. Got a book about Jacques Anquetil to read next

Assuming it's Sex Lies & Handlebar Tape, you're moving onto, t'is a good read.

Also recommend my Tour read, Half Man Half Bike - Eddie Merckx, by William Fotheringham.

Probably not to be read straight after your JA book.
