Could be that too, let's hope so, but I'm sure I heard the commentator say Valverde stayed at home. I'm not going to be happy if he hasn't started as I purposely left my selections to the last minute given the fluid nature of the start list, and as you say, he was certainly on the final list. I could have kept Oscar in.

I see exactly what you're saying about value in watching track compared to road. I certainly wouldn't pass up the opportunity to watch some live track racing if it came my way, but I just prefer the soap opera that is road racing. It's the unfolding of the race and all the tactical goings on, be it a one day race or tour, that captivates me.

Don't just watch it, do it!

I've done an induction session at Calshott, it was fantastic.

You walk up into the velodrome and are faced with a wall, there is no way you can ride at the top, then 1/2 an hour later, you're up there, bombing around, fan-blooming-tastic.

Not to sure I want to let on about my team, I regularly make myself look a tw@t on here, without needing to underline the fact.

Tankink & Iglinsky have come in for 2 other no mark doms.

Not too bad but not too great for me. 3rd, 4th, 11th and 19th

'Twas very nice thanks. No one demanding my undivided attention every minute of the day and with the kids at school all day it meant a nice relaxing day out of the rain with a permanent cup of tea watching cycling and conversing with that nice Pantani bloke once the morning school run was done

On the worrying side, I've gone and subscribed to Eurosport player today so will be following Giro del Trentino too now
