How much do you lot spend bike locks?
Got a budget of around £50? Is that enough nowadays?

Yes...you'll get quite a good lock for that...

BUT...I would never leave my 'best' bike anywhere public, locked or not. No padlock is infallible, and if your bike is worth a bit, it'll go missing.

So when I go out, or go to town, anywhere that I'm going to leave my bike, I take my cheap and cheerful mountain bike, removing the saddle when I lock it up.

I'm pretty sure you can get a very very good D-lock for that money.

Although I'd be tempted to buy 'just' a good one and a good combination one.

That way you have the ability to secure both wheels to the frame and the frame to something.
As well as giving would be thieves 2 different locks to break.

Can buy 2 Kryptonite locks for around £50 on Wiggle, thieves can break into almost anything nowadays, if they try hard enough they can always get it, mind you I always use my cheaper bike to cycle to work.

This Thread feels like a tranquil garden in the middle of a war zone atm.

Doubt any of you will remember but a while back I was on here making noises about building myself a bike.. well I've just bought myself the frame for it! Don't know if any of you are interested in watching me build it up or not but if you are I will continue to post my progress. Attached is a few photos of the frame as it is, I'm going to strip it down and re paint it. Any suggestions on colour? Cheers IMG_9686-2.jpgIMG_9684-2.jpgIMG_9684-3.jpg
