This is the OCD introduction in the 'your bike section', on the Bikeradar forum, and the source of my leg pulling:-

There are many bike photographs on here but the reference shot must be taken in a specific way otherwise there will be a higher risk of flaming. Plus, it shows your lovely bikes off better!
Don't say I didn't warn you!

1 - Bike should be against a white background, preferable a garage door so the bike shows up properly, or if taken well, a black background with suitable lighting.

2 - Bike must be flat to camera, no silly angles.

3 - Bike must be drive side showing

4 - Chain in big ring, towards the smaller cogs at the back

5 - Crankarm following the line of the seat tube or chainstay

6 - Stem must be in the negative fitting. Even if you ride with it pointing up.

7 - Dork discs, reflectors, pumps, lights etc are NOT acceptable, again, even if you ride with them.

The writing.

How the hell can you expect your mechanic to quickly find the valve.

That could cost you a tour

Don't get me started on the photo

No white background.
Cranks not at 6 o'clock.
Wheels off centre.

It's a freakin disaster!!!

Valves aren't at 6 o'clock either (although given the valve position is different on both wheels you could be forgiven for 12 and 6 in this instance). Pedals aren't flat either. Amateur at best. :lolol:

Oh, and how the feck do you get that water bottle out? Looks a bit tight.

It's not a water bottle, it's a tool bottle, so there! :p

Note I've used black marker pen to blot out the adverstisers name and differentiate it from the actual water bottle ( when it's in) so I don't get a throat full of tools should I experience the bonk and things get a bit hazy

Morning

I listen to, The Bike Show, it's not road cycling more aspirational stuff.
They currently are running a 2 parter on cycling in Africa.

There's one in the offing called Cycling Anthology to publicise a book coming out, which I have on order.

We know about Velocast.

BBC have Bespoke, it's not great, Colin Murray is VERY Colin Murray in it.

Isn't that the cyclists chapel, Santuario Madonna del Ghisallo, at around 40 seconds there?
Must say I rather enjoyed dipping out of Birmingham at home this season to stay at home and watch J Rod take victory in this years race :)

Have you sat down to watch A Sunday In Hell yet SB?

If I may be so bold SB, can I take the liberty of offering up this little beauty for consideration into your SBBAOCFYVF.

YouTube

I was there of course, stood about a couple of hundred yards off the bottom of Elm Grove. Of course, I've got THE photo to prove it, but we don't want to be going down that road again now do we
