The reason why we get so many penalties is because there isnt a single defender that can cope with Wilf, who ever yor right or left back are on that day will be feeling pretty sick by half time.

The reason you get so many penalties is zaha would give Tom Daley a run for his money in the bloody olympics ffs:tosser:

Indeed, I am slightly worried about this game to be honest, if they play with the passion they had down at our place last season, coupled with the way they are playing at the moment, we'll get turned over.
Gus needs to install a bit of passion into our boys for this, let them know what this game means to the fans, there was none at the Amex.

I think your right to be worried on our current form Dave, but we don't have expectation of 3 points, whereas they will be booing in there beer if we get anything out of it.

We really have nothing to lose as the pressures on them.

Sounds good anyway!!

Both Bruno and Bridge have come up against FAR better players before, so they will be experienced enough to know what to expect. Zaha won't come up against a better RB or LB this year, so it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

I'd argue that he came up against three better full-backs in one game last year: Rafael, Fabio and Valencia for Man United. He absolutely rinsed all three of them. Rafael had to be subbed off at HT for his brother to have a go, who was then forced to swap wings so that Valencia could try to keep him quiet. He was still beating Valencia every time until Fergie then also assigned Ji Sung Park to double-mark him. Zaha was more quiet for about 10 minutes until he tricked his way past both of them to win a free-kick that FFSMurray then scored from.

Rafael, Fabio, Park and Valencia are all of a good Premiership standard. He comfortably had the beating of them last year, and he has improved massively since then. Konchesky hardly got a kick of the ball a few weeks ago, Leicester fans said that Zaha was by far the best player they had seen in the Championship.

Shouldn't you be outside setting fire to a furniture store or something..? Seem to remember this time last season the roles were completely reversed and you ended up beating us so you seem rather cocky about all of this, even for an inbred Giro claiming Croydon London wannabe like yourself..!! Still, you guys have given us IKEA which keeps my wife happy so I do have that to thank you for. I guess this is another good example of a foreign import that does your slum more credit than it really deserves. Can't wait for Dec 1st, already have my ticket to your public toilet of a ground and hope I am kept in after the game purely so I don't have to mix with the kind of Neanderthals that I have forgotten about since I first learned about them at junior school. Oh sorry, you probably burnt yours down so didn't have the opportunity to even learn what I am talking about here. Never mind, perhaps your sister will explain when she's finished choking...!!!

I expect so, yes. After all, in several hundred matches in the Premier League and La Liga respectively, they are unlikely to have EVER come up against anyone nearly as good as Zaha. zzzzzzz

:lolol: messi (Bruno) and c.ronaldo (bridge)

Wilf :lolol:

I'm not doubting his ability... he is clearly capable of rinsing many a full back on his day. I'm pointing out that this season he will not have played against as good full backs as he will do when he faces Brighton. That is of course if the players we're referring to are fit. It is likely he will do well, but he isn't playing against full backs of Bridge and Bruno's quality week in week out. It'll be a good test of his ability.

I haven't heard such delusion and fantasy since Seaside used to post on this board. Are you sure you not him, or has he hacked your account?

Let's just wait and see what happens on the 1st Dec.

Countdown to humiliation

Would that be the "humiliation" of -

- not being able to fill your own ground for your big game of the season
- locking your own fans in the ground after the game for their own safety
- asking the Police to limit our supporters for fear of an "intimidating away atmosphere"
- making a banner proclaiming "Hark now Hear The Palace Sing" and then not making a peep for 90 minutes
- having an away stand that would be condemned in a serious Championship Club
- living in an environment that is twinned with Mogadishu (Christ knows how bad it will look in the daylight)
- failing to beat us in our last two visits

You are a dick of the highest order. Just listen to yourself for crying out loud. He plays for Crystal Palace in the Championship, yes he had a good game against Man Utd but Noone ran the show against Liverpool, it doesn't mean he's a world beater. None of us doubt that Zaha is a talented player but get yourself a dose of reality.

You forgot the ultras asking for a police escort from the pub when playing Millwall. Or actually just the ultras.

So I've just seen a Palace fan compare their team to Real Madrid and Zaha to Ronaldo.

Brilliant. There are literally no words.

Another Palace fan on the BBS reckoned Zaha is better than Maradona and Pele ( and that's now - not potentially in the future ).

Mass psychosis and delusion.

I'm sure that they both have, but that was some time ago when they were a. better, and b. younger (quicker).

Also, the fact that they played against them doesn't mean that they played well. I saw Bruno play against Madrid and Ronaldo absolutely destroyed him, scoring a hattrick. Obviously I'm not comparing Zaha to Ronaldo (yet! :moo:) but I doubt that Bridge or Bruno will be able to stop Wilfried and Bolasie on the other wing.

If they DO manage to get the better of Wilf I'll be extremely surprised, and they will be the first fullbacks in the last 18 months to do it. He absolutely destroyed Konchesky for a full 90 minutes against Leicester (and every other fullback he has played against), and with the form Bolasie and Murray are in I could see us scoring a few. You're probably going to triple-mark him like every team has done against us this season, which should leave a lot of space for Bolasie and Glenn to exploit.

That said, I'm not predicting anything like an easy win. Yes, we are on much better form than you and yes we are much higher in the league, but the form book goes out of the window in these sorts of games. We SHOULD win considering we're at home and we're much stronger in attack, but if we have an off day you could get a result.
Why did'nt we hear all this mouth from Palace when they were in the bottom 3....which we have not been....you are top...on merit, at the moment for the first time in 5 years...whereas we have been top the last two seasons...and as the season is a third through...anything is possible....I doubt very much that you will be there at the end of the season and suspect we might end up playing you in the play-offs....what a lovely thought...
