Sorry it wasn't redkneb it was the parasite... but read it again and no, perhaps I just don't want to get it, I don't really know.
Some bloke said we hadn't won anything in the past two years. I was merely proving him wrong. Nobody said it was a huge prestigious trophy. Redneb acknowledged it was a minor trophy so stop trying to make something out of it.
It is adorable that you think winning League One has "prestige" though. Especially as you then have the temerity to mock our trophy. In ten years time, no one will remember who won League One. Did you know Luton won it only eight years ago? No, of course not. They won't remember who won the JP Trophy either. Same goes for the Championship. They are minor competitions. Nobody cares who won them apart from the club who won it. But you carry on banging on about those extra three points like you won the Champions League. It's sweet, really. I mean, lower leagues are the only competitions you've ever won. You don't know any better. I suppose I can't blame you for your small club mentality. You know L1 is all you'll ever win, so you try to make the most out of it.

You knew that Luton won it 8 years ago, so that is a stupid thing to say. Do you know who won the then league 1 (now Premiership) 1971 without looking it up? If you don't that doesn't mean it isn't prestigous. Hey whatabout the world cup in 1974 without looking it up.
Most Saints fans are decent, a minority are cocks. Most Albion fans are decent, a minority are cocks. In the pub before the game at St Mary's last season everyone I met seemed far more level headed than what appears on the Internet from both sides.
Far too many of all clubs are hypersensitive. Adkins and Gus made a couple of mischievous comments last season, but they also praised both the Albion and Southampton for their achievements, yet these comments are strategically ignored by the hand wringers.
FWIW I thought it was a poor show for Saints to ignore the guard of honour for us as champions, but frankly I am not particularly arsed about it. This season they are deservedly top, and there are clubs in this division such as Palace, Dirty Leeds and Pompey who I would much rather see lose each week.

I think way less than 1% of a St Marys crowd post their views on the internet.
The comments on the internet by no way reflect the vast majority of Saints fans in that respect.

I found out today that Fatima Whitbread is the patron of the UK dwarf sports association.
