He is right though, some people voted for something without researching how it affects them.

Does not sound like the best thing to do, does it?

Right though arent I. Turning the air blue won't change that. In fact it goes some way to proving my point.

Re allocating some of our £10 Billion ish yearly net EU membership fee?

Which is a drop in the ocean compared to the cash that has left the UK since the vote? Which is a minuscule amount compared to the trade we do with the EU? That will likely be the rough cost of access to the Single Market?

Yes exactly. Say any lie, make any promise. Nothing matters if you win. See Farage, Boris scurrying off after the damaging is done. Leave the remainers to sort it out. Thanks.

Still coming to terms with the decision made by the democratic will of the majority then. Plenty of Brexit politicians were ready to step up and sort it out see Tory leadership race.

It'll be okay. The Conservative Westminster elite did wonders in the 1980's helping with the mining communities after the pits closed....................

A Tory government is simply not going to put that money into society. They run a manifesto of cuts and austerity. Yes, we pay a lot in more than a lot of other countries, that is to level out wealth disparity. Tory governments rely on wealth disparity as they are essentially the government wing of the super rich. Guarantee you that the money we save if we depart the EU will never reach those in need of it the most. It will be explained away as restoring the economy or some such lie.

We are still trading and will continue to do so... we still have full access to the single market and will most likely retain some access once negotiations are concluded. Probably best to judge the overall situation once we actually know what our new relationship is.

The most stark example was Wales where some of the most deprived regions in receipt of massive EU funding voted 70-30 to leave.

Comically A Welsh Assembly representative was then interviewed on the day of the result stating that the Barnes formula would have to be rethought to give Wales a greater share to make up. It didnt seem to occur to them that they had just enabled a right wing goverment to swing further to the right. If you think its unfair that the UK pays more than its share to the EU would the parallels to the Barnes formula not be obvious?

People who misguidedly thought they had nothing to lose were very happy to vote leave e.g. unemployed, retired, Welsh valleys etc all approx 70-30, they may all get a rude awakening.

I could not have put this better :)

As Hislop so rightly put it, even though we lost the vote the losers are still entitled to argue their point are they not? When a government is voted in the opposition don't just accept it and shut up for five years.
