£10m plus a few more in add ons is a crazy amount for someone with little end product yet. Top marketing and sales work by Palace

£10m up front, £5m in addons, a sell-on percentage and a loan back for the season.... is not "about £10m".

So no, you weren't right. And he's not crap, he's the best player in the division, which is why Man United want him.

I don't believe he is the best player in the division. his stats are not great, he is an exciting prospect and could develop at UTD into a very good player. still a diving little twat though, hope fergy trains that out of him.

Stats don't lie.

Last season

Ince: 6 assists, 6 goals (33 games)
Zahahahaa: 4 assists, 6 goals (41 games)

This season

Ince: 10 assists, 13 goals
Zahahahaa: 4 assists, 5 goals

Zaha also been booked 7 times in 26 games (probably 6 of them for diving) - doesn't include cup.

That's a fantastic deal for Palace. Guaranteed 10million and a loan back. That should cover their debts from the past two seasons and maybe give them something to spend on top.

I remained unconvinced that Zaha is anywhere near as good as the hype which sadly makes it an even better deal.

The Palace punt works again.

Other clubs try and build a sustainable future based on stadium and infrastructure. Palace punt on decent players through their Academy with the tax payer as the patsy if there is too large a time interval.

Trebles all round on this one.

It is a great deal for Palace.

Well done to Palace , cleared the backlog of debt in one deal. No fear of another administration for a couple of years by which time they will have adjusted to FFP environment.

If this deal goes through and the reported £10 million up front is accurate then this really could be a great bit of business as far as Palace are concerned. Lets hope they use the windfall sensibly and sort their stadium out!

An excellent bit of business; He is inarguably superb on his day, but can lose interest for a run of games if he's not up for it for whatever reason.

I hope that he loses his appetite a bit after the loanback (much as he lost a bit of form post England call-up)

This is the problem. Imagine the binfest on the BBS if the owners sensibly said that the money was going to be used to bring Selhurst Park up to scratch.... but they won't will they.

That England Call up (which are far too easy to get now, btw) has done Palace the WORLD of good. They've played an absolute blinder on this one.

Their PR has gone into HYPERBOWL over a player who, at the end of the day, is still massivly unprovan. The fact United are letting him go back shows they are buying POTENTIAL and not the finished article in any way.

Whereas players like Oxlade Chamberlain were already strong enough (physically) to fit into a prem team, I think Zaha will get on the weights at Utd before 'Suralecks' lets him into the first team. You look at the size of Valencia etc, The modern winger is now BEEFED up.

Anyway, fair play to palace. They have got a ridiculously good deal there.

Will he be photographed either holding up or wearing a Man Utd shirt before being 'loaned back' to Palace, or is that not how these things work?

Lets imagine we get the full £15m over the next three seasons.

I would be happy if they reinvested that money into a new main stand, No problem with that at all.

£10m not nearly enough.

Needs the 2011 Croydon riot Arsenal fans to turn their attention to Selhurst, which should bring a massive national* wave of sympathy. In turn giving Croydon Council and the local nimbys the requisite kick up the derriere.

* Apart from Sussex of course.
