I would imagine he will be the highest paid BHA player possibly £50-60k per week plus a £2-3 million signing on fee

Worthing
I suspect if this clause actually exists that the deal would be structured with this in mind with a sizeable chunk of the package being a signing on bonus or appearance bonuses (outside of the basic) to avoid the trigger otherwise Dunk gets a pay rise every time we sign a class player.

I spend most of my disposable income on bedroom-based attention seekers.

Made-up transfer porn?

Weird how they all call themselves "journo"-this or "agent"-that.

Like a real agent would actually spend his or her time tweeting rumours and putting their clients' top secret lucrative deals at risk by blabbing about them on Twitter

This is really exciting. By all accounts he's a good egg and an extremely talented footballer. Also has bags of experience which will be invaluable for some of our younger players.

Unless it’s tactical for last minute interest

Just a thought there are motorway works on the M23 this weekend, can we assume a BHAFC Liaison officer will be set up before Junction 7 on the M25?

Hard to see us getting much back on him (Locadia that is) - could go down as one of our most expensive flops along with Ali J, Andone and sadly Izquierdo (the thick end of £50m in transfer fees paid - ouch!)

Lets hope whoever does come in this summer can have more of an impact than the above.

I see Naylor now also reporting the Lallana deal looks imminent - supposedly likely to be signed and sealed in the next 2 to 3 days per his Tweet.

You cant really put Izzzy or Andone in that bunch of flops. They are both good enough, its other factors. Ali J and Locadia are simply not good enough.

Izzy was good, maybe a tad inconsistent but still decent enough, but obvs been crocked for what seems like forever, yes bad business with the gift of hindsight but hes not a bad player.

Andone is actually a good player imho, and 5 million was a good bit of business for a pretty decent forward. Andone is not shit like Locadia is, his problems are purely in attitude, he cant control himself on the pitch and has been a complete dick off it. He doesn't lack for talent, just personality.

Pretty sure we're not going to be losing any targets to Norwich City this time.

Incidentally, Alex Pritchard made a mere 17 appearances for Championship relegation candidates Huddersfield Town last season, scoring precisely no goals.

Life comes at ya fast, doesn't it, Alex? :bigwave:

One reason that this really pleases me, beyond the obvious fact that he is quality, is that we have quite a lot of young players and (no disrespect to our other players) not so much in the way of leaders in our older players. Don't get me wrong, it's not a criticism, some people are natural leaders, others not so much. Dunk and Glenn are quite strong characters in the dressing room I'm sure, others possibly too, but IMO we've missed what we had in players like Steve Sidwell and Liam Rosenior. Real "believers", that kind of passionate/strong personality/attitude. Lallana is a great person to bring in who will bring some of that kind of fire back into the dressing room. I'm convinced it is something we have been a little short of in the last couple of seasons, and bringing it back if we can will help the whole squad.

'potentially'

maybe there's a bonus for us winning the Champion's League during his contract

:moo:

I bet some of that £14 million is a signing on bonus. £65,000 a week over 3 years and a £4 million signing on fee is still £14 million. And its still less than we paid for Jurgen Locadia.

I’d bet the student journo with 300 followers, given the club keep things so tight to their chest now, is talking bollocks / guessing / listening to someone who is doing the first 2. Signing not even happened yet FFS. Not helpful putting shit like that out when we have a wage structure for Dunk etc. And obviously the signing on fee will be big as it’s a free transfer.

Well I’m not afraid to admit I was sceptical about this signing initially. I still do have concerns about injury and fitness.

But having absorbed all the comments and feedback from Liverpool and from Klopp, I can see a lot of really positive things in the bigger picture of this move. It’s a marquee signing for a club in our tier of the PL.

A modern game winner. Played for England. Played in the first team for one of the biggest clubs in Europe, played in huge games and I especially like what I heard about how he’s a good influence on young players at the club. That makes a lot of sense given the Graham Potter and Dan Ashworth revolution we have going on here.

Age isn’t an issue for a player of his ilk and position. He’s 32 not 42. He will be our South Coast Pirlo.

UTA!

Looks homophobic to me. I’m not on there but someone should call ‘Lloyd’ out on that. Also, yes we beat Leicester to another signing after Ali J, which has clearly ruffled some feathers

Not forgetting CMS

If true then a great signing and a sign of intent. Very pleased. Others will follow.
