I think that might just be the people you know..
The people around where i sit all debate every decision..e.g a dubious throw-in, corner vs goal-kick etc etc...and we come to a common opinion ...then we all shout together....REF/LINO (delete as appropriate) YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING.
This whole Barnes thing.....is not complicated......if a player does what the manager wants him to do and he does it well then he gets picked for the next match.
It's a very limited job market for a football manager...92 in England...and probably only 10-20 that Gus would be interested in...so he keeps all doors open as he never knows what's around the corner...he's doing well now, but say the wheels fell off at Brighton (just saying!) he would want as...
Well, I'm old enough to know they don't suit me!...but it's not quite a case of elasticated waists for me just yet...but I do have rather a nice selection of well cut chinos...

I believe Barnes is one of our most important palyers at the moment and well deserves his place...his critics have to stop thinking of him as a striker...he is now a forward midfielder and covers more of the pitch than any other...I lost count of the times he came back and cleared the ball out...
We shouldn't be so sensitive....anybody understanding football will see this for what it was...a bizarre one-off event...no lasting damage, just a small stumble along a glorious path to future sucess. It will all be forgotten after Hull and ipswich (we hope!)
You can thank your fellow supporters for that. We were in the front row directly behind the goal...the first few rows were all sitting, but the idiots about 5 rows back insisted on standing when they all had perfect views. The stewards kept asking them to sit down so that people behind could...
That's not fair is it?.....a Sunday afternoon game is a lot more manageable for most people than a Weds eve game, and finances also significant....you are not a true supporter if you go to Liverpool (probably using someone elses's ticket) but to no other away games.
