The size of towns and cities is always quoted in terms of population; otherwise you would get huge distortions due variations in how far the administrative boundary extends into the surrounding countrside.
Also density of housing is an issue eg Mansfield, with it's thousands of terraced houses...
Or even "you're going in the sea", with all it's connotations of being stung by jellyfish, getting water up the nose or even being cut by glass caused by Fatboy Slim's concert. And even though I've lived in Notts for 29 years, I take exception to Sussex being spelt with a small "s".
That would be a shocking gate for a club with a real chance of making the First Round, and I'd have thought that many more than this would travel to Burgess Hill if they got through. I know it's a very small town, but the smaller the town, the greater the "Cup fever" should be!
This has been one of the most interesting 4QR draws for years, with tiny clubs like Sheffield FC, Nantwich, Chipstead, Frome (pronounced "Froom") and Leiston appearing. When I looked at the 3QR results, I thought Leiston (how do you pronounce it?) must be a misprint for Leighton, as I'd never...
So the BBC has spent some of my licence fee, but they're not allowed to let me listen in even though I live in the UK. Maybe I should write to the club explaining how they could make far more money by ditching local radio altogether, as Leeds have done. After all, I won't miss out and my club...
But we have already paid for this through the licence fee - what on earth do you mean by "just £3.99"? This is the amount I would expect to say if we had live video coverage. Including commentary.
