the facts seem to be that without bloom we couldn't get falmer built so let's see how things pan out. i think the majority of us want the albion to remain a bit idiosyncratic, a bit different to the run of the mill football club that's grown around a new ground - i'm looking at you reading! -...
exactly! it seems like tony bloom has been calling the shots for a while. with that in mind, i'm surprised he agreed to wilkins being sacked and adams coming back - or perhaps he didn't?
how about wilkins coming back as either head coach or director of youth? i think i'm correct in thinking that bloom was keen on his promotion from youth boss to assistant and then to 1st team boss so he must rate him.
getting him back to head up the youth system would be immense in my view
unsecured loan of something in the region of 75-80 million interest free!! this guy must be seriously rich to be able to afford that!
what's in it for him? my hope is that he's a monster fan already involved in the club and knight says to him 'we can't borrow anything at the moment tony, how...
would be dissapointed with less than 400k. he's a very promising prospect and should be priced as such. what did we get for harding? think it was about 750k wasn't it. if i could only sign one of those 2 i know who i'd take... and he wouldn't be called dan!
somebody must surely know him from school or college or somewhere - any albion related anecdotes would be good, would be reassuring to hear that he's a proper albion fan?
the goalkeeper ian walker? don't be daft, he was crap when he was good plus he retired about 5 years ago didn't he. i would pick mayo in goal over ian walker
fair enough. it's a hugely emotive subject though this one mate. its important that people don't simply forget - or don't understand - what happened to us, what we went through.
superb stuff from slade. what i like is that although he looks like a classic 'tracksuit' manager on match days, he's clearly more of a modern 'suited' manager behind the scenes. the perfect mix!
acker79 - stop being such a tool. you've had countless responses answering your questions about archer. accept what you're being told... or go and read up on the subject.
archer was scrum. end of.
got lucky with slade becuase he was his second choice. perhaps with gannon in charge we'd have stayed up too. we'll never know... and who cares now we've got super russel slade!
overall he's been superb as chairman. thanks for everything knight. but he (or the board, or bloom?) has made some...
spot on. he is and will always be a true albion hero for saving our club. he's been an immense chairman over the years and i think almost all of us would like to see him on the pitch at falmer microphone in hand.
however i do think its time for some fresh ideas at the club, a change in leadership.
that's not the impression i got.
i may we wrong of course. happy to be proved wrong old chap. perhaps we can agree that bloom is now a hugely influential figure at the club? wheather he pulled the trigger or merely loaded the bullets, he would certainly have been involved in mickeys firing.
