Didnt Chelsea fans sing it as well???
My old Father In Law said they used to sing it at the Goldstone to wind the "old bill" up.
They were the hooligan days I hasten to add. He is not proud of it now!
In the late 70's - early 80's there was also someone like that at the Brighton roundabout by the Palace Pier/Royal Albion...wonder if it was the same person?
Dad used to call him the Penguin (as in the Burgess Meredith version)
I could be wrong but I believe the "attitude" stemmed from the fact that yes at the start of the season Lynch was replaced by Hawkins (maybe coz Lynch was unfit and the Hawk wasnt). Then there was the Northampton JPT game where apparantly Lynch had a stormer and then was promptly dropped next...
Is Hammond still contracted to Colchester? GO'C may start with a clean slate as well, off to Ireland you go Ritchie to track him down...
How long did Bas sign for Tranny?
Well I dont know about "prestigious" but certainly more aware.
Its not unknown to have at least one "big" club in the third tier - such as Sunderland in the late 80s and Man City in the early 90s, but its certainly unprecedented to have as many "big" clubs as we do now!
Hmm well I rang BT and like others have said it really depends who you get (sometimes even the asian call centres know what they are doing) sometimes its just a lottery.
The most recent experience was quite a pleasant one tho, rang them to notify a change of address, no probs we will disconnect...
