    Home Kit - if only!

After the successes in the transfer window it feels like the club has been 'relaunched'. I know it won't happen for obvious reasons but wouldn't it be great if we could announce the new era with a change of home kit in mid season. I'm of the opinion that our present kit with its predominance of...

    team for sat

I think it's possible that he might play Forster alone up front (Andrew on bench) with a 5-man midfield full of width and pace from Cox and Carole. Could be interesting formation and at least we won't be subjected to route 1 crap. If it doesn't work he can always revert to 4-4-2 (with 3 minutes...

    Kuipers or Sullivan ?

If Sullivan maintains his standards for the rest of the season, he's going to be hot property come the summer. Age 20 (is that really true? He seems to have been around for ages) is a very young age for a keeper to be showing such composure. He's got time on his side and I would not be surprised...

    A left back please!!!

Heaven help us if we don't get one before the window closes. Although I have an inkling that we'll get Matt Richards at the 11th hour. The way we are placed I'd greet him like the second coming (or in his case, third)

Whats The LATEST You've Got To A Game?

Took my girlfriend to see Fulham v Leicester back in the 70's. Cup match I think. Thousands still outside the ground at kick off time, my girl grappling with the long black arm of a pickpocket who'd got tangled up with the contents of her bag. Emerged on the terraces 10 minutes after the start...

    Terry Dunfield

Midfielder. Has played 150 odd league games and scored 8 goals. When at Manchester City Keegan described him as one of the best passers in the club, but poor heading ability and stamina issues. Shrewsbury thought they'd got him this week for a 'nominal fee' but player failed to agree personal terms.

Falmer site - not a lot going on today?

    Anyone seen any activity today?

    Yellow Cards

With injuries and lack of success in the transfer window, the squad is looking very threadbare. I just wonder who is on the brink of being suspended for 5 yellow cards - to compound our problems. Does anyone know who is sweating on 4 cards?

    Big Screen?

Will there be a big screen at Falmer? Or even two - one at each end?

    Jack Straw's Falmer Watch No 5 (16/1/09).

Nice pics again Jack. Don't really understand all this activity when Martin's blog says that it's just road widening and minor archeological work. Surely it's more than that. If so, why doesn't he tell us. Surely he's not burying good news?

    MP's Stadium Blog

A new one today. Nothing 'ground breaking'. I didn't know the Time Team was still on site - I thought they only had 3 days. No mention of funding - I've decided to bury my head in the sand on that issue. It'll be alright---won't it?

    Seating At Falmer

It will be the south end cos that is the end which is close to the coach park -so visiting fans won't have to 'fight' their way past Brighton supporters before and after the match.

    Anyone remember this Albion book?

Especially if it included all the loan players!

    Anyone remember this Albion book?

Many thanks Tom - that's the one and I've now found an email address for Tim Carder, so here's hoping he's still got a copy.

    Anyone remember this Albion book?

A number of years ago (80's I think) I bought a brilliant book which contained a commentary and biographical details about every player who played for the Albion since the year dot. Pictures of nearly all the players through the ages plus team pics and action pics in glorous black and white...

Jack Straw's Falmer Watch No 4a.

True, but the pictures do suggest that there's a lot of levelling work being done around the site. Also some groundwork (I think) on what will be the coach park which will be accessed from the beginning of the widened Village Way. 'citing innit.
