That is tantamount to saying it is in some players' interests not to get promoted because they'll be released if we do. McGhee's comments about Iwelumo being good enough for Div 2 but not necessarily Div 1 really set the alarm bells clanging.
Whether we go up this season or not, we should only...
So what we are saying is that some of our players appear to have an incentive NOT to get promoted because the manager might not consider them good enough for Div 1 ???
What really annoyed me was when he took the mick out of our best young player one week (which I thought was appalling), then asked fans to lay off David Lee a week later. If you're talking about bottle, ability and potential between the 2 players mentioned, there is not even a debate.
Fair play to Andrew Hawes on Southern Counties Radio after the Hartlepool game...
McGhee: "Leon did a fantastic job in terms of keeping the shape of the team, which is one of the things I was critical about (last week)..."
Andrew Hawes: "A far from inert front 2."
McGhee: "Absolutely."...
Possibly, but I think there are a few of us who would be very happy to see Norman Baker lose his seat after what he said at the public inquiry. Also, it might help persuade some of the Tory MPs in Sussex to sign the EDM (although that might be wishful thinking). Can't see it being anything other...
Big piece in today's Argus - interview with Rory Love, the Tory who will fight Norman Baker in Lewes at the general election. He comes out very firmly in favour of Falmer :D
:)
David Lee has sensationally snubbed Albion and agreed to join Pease Pottage.
The midfielder-turned forward-turned midfielder-turned possible central defensive partner for Guy Butters was offered a new three-year deal by the Seagulls.
But we understand that Lee was unhappy with manager...
No, no, no. David Lee is probably going to partner Guy Butters in defence. Please keep up ;)
McGhee said: "We considered sticking David Lee up there with Leon, but we'll probably play him at the back to virtually guarantee seven clean sheets between now and the end of the season."
