This LCD soundsystem set is incredible.
It’s f***ing brilliant. One of the best post Covid sets I’ve seen (online).
Effing flags would get right on my tits had I paid £360 for a ticket plus a few hundred quid for travel and other costs. I’m guessing most people have gone to see the the performers on the stage rather than someone’s flag…

I think you're either close enough to see around them or you're so far away it wouldn't make much difference if somebody put a hedge up along the front of the stage.
The major irritation was standing in a field for two sets to try and get a half decent spot for a particular act, and then some absolute twat in a massive hat barging in right in front of me and shoving his backpack straight in my friend's face.

I went many times 1995-2017 and I think if i went again now they'd get right on my tits. I used to avoid the main stages (prefering Comedy, Cabaret, Acoustic and Park) but i also used to like catching bits of some bands when wandering around passing the rear of the main stages (enjoyed many a surprise set on JazzWorld for example) and the flags would ruin this a bit imo. Does seem to be characteristic of the modern look-at-me age. I couldn't give two shits if one of them was an Albion flag either.

Paul Heaton was brilliant but I’m biased as he could go on stage and read the phone book and I would still love it, just watching dixys from earlier and then will watch tonight’s headline

This is sort of the situation I have in mind when I say that if you're far enough back it doesn't make much difference. If you're walking around the back of the Pyramid Stage on your way somewhere else, realistically you're going to be looking at the screens more than the actual stage, and the flags won't make much difference.
