I tihnk Bozza is right we get a %age of anything over the 1.5 mil. My guess will be that they have rated zamora as worth 1.5 million to prevent this form happening.

They claim they are. I have a feeling Knight said at the fans forum that wasn't true. I can't really remember though.

I do hope that they don't call a public inquiry into it.

Good to see you posting tinxy baby.

I saw you use the C word so I assume the censorship is over besides a juicy zamora transfer is too good to miss.

Spurs have a track record here - Posh were 'owed' a sell-on for Matthew Etherington, but that disappeared when he went West Ham and Kanoute went the other way :(

Just been confirmed. Spurs have paid £7 million + Bobby for Defoe

Does that give us a % of the 1.5 million 'profit', if DeFoe's rated at 10 million?

FFS!!!

This is Glenn Roeders fault.

I have hated him for years and wanted him to get the sack as soon as he took over at WHU.
He was so poor he took them down, prompting Defoe to hand in a request the next day. They sack him 6 weeks into the season.
How I laughed.
The appointed my second most hated man in football in Pardew. How I laughed. A team I dislike, a manager I dislike and the club he left who I also dislike in turmoil.
What happens?
The said club pinches our manager when we wer top of the league and it ends up with Bobby at WHU with my second most hated manager replacing the most hated 1.

Is it all my fault?

Morale of the story is never laugh to loud at other clubs as it may come back to haunt you one day!

God, that presumably means dirty Palace have another chance to try and break Bobby's legs this season (see FA Cup game at White Hart Lane).

I hope he does well, and kicks Palace's arse on our behelf.

I would imagine the club will be making enquiries into the values attached to the sale.

As i read this, all the cash (£6m now and a furher £1m based on appearances)is for Defoe (which means Charlton getting a hefty slice) and Pleat obvioulsy had to offer a player to Pardew to replace Defoe (who Pleat really really wants and knows is unsettled, but Pardew doesn't want to leave). As Pardew has already enquired after Zamora on loan, what a perfect way to tie the deal up by offerig him Zamora (who has just been warming the bench and not threatrening either one of his first choice strikers) as a permanent replacement for Defoe.

So no fee attached to Zamora.

Therefore we get nothing.

You laugh but I think time will prove you wrong. Zamora never got a sniff at Spurs and he's class. He's going to score a hatful playing alongside Brian Deane.
