In terms of the meat BK and Mcdonalds the meat is a bit generic and stingy but good quality. Without padding such as breadcrumbs etc..

Not much wrong there and not very different from the premier burger chains - except the quantity and the cooking and seasoning.

But what the f*** is going on with the rest of it especially the bread and cheese.

Mcdonalds buns are the worst.

The best burgers are the ones you make yourself. Easy buy yourselves a proper griddle. I cook them probably once a month when I'm tired and can't be bothered. Nothing easier than shaping some good mince into a burger. Frying it and slapping if in a bun with some cheese and salad.

Cracking little place in the lanes, opposite fat leo's resteraunt. Only a tiny little shop, but do a superb burger, and run by a nice bloke to boot.

Think you could get a decent sized burger, chips, and a drink for about £4. BARGAIN compared to the fast food chains. I'll be going tomorrow.

The worst is any van or shop that uses Chefs Larder Burgers and the best that I have had was at a burger van in Los ANGELES (sorry cant remember the name) it is world famous for having never closed since it opened after the end of World War II.

Talking about burgers, just got back from New York this morning, and I had the best burger in Applebees, on Broadway and 50th street.

Best burger place in New York IMHO is “Five Guys” – a very decadent treat and seriously artery clogging, they are being rolled out across most of the States. I'd say "Shake Shack" is number 2. Best of the big commercial chains is “Wendy’s” by a country mile.

My worst footy based burger was at Northampton when they played next to the cricket pitch, it was like rubber and i'm sure my dog would have turned it down

Have you tried the Brooklyn one I mentioned earlier?

The posh bit
Worst burger ever was the east stand brasserie and it cost 31 quid ( including terrible starter of fish/chips!)

Have had burgers from "five guys" in Florida - same prices as BK etc but actually taste of beef, freshly cooked and a good selection of toppings.

Trolls pantry is great and I also had a really good burger in the North Laine pub recently.

Meh. Doesn't look particularly special to me. Home made burgers are tops but that effort needs improving on. Tiny wee burger as well compared to the bun, can'y imagine you'd get a very meaty taste and looks dry.

Chesterfield at their old ground, Saltergate.

The burger was boiled and two cold buns stuck with it made the thing inedible. However, as it had been snowing and the open terrace was closed, we were put in the wooden seats in a stand that must have been built when they were formed. The kitchen smelt like the one old schools do with bleach so you decided to bring a packed lunch instead. But only the fact I was completely pissed and realised it was the first hot food I'd had that day made me eat about half of it. Absolutely ghastly.
