British Rail used to have a chain of Burger Places called Casey Jones (a legendary American train driver) and I used to bowl up to Lime Street Station after a night on the piss in Liverpool when I worked there.

They were quite disgusting but anybody who knows the centre of Liverpool will tell you it was shut so that was the only option.

Something like 'Casey Jones, the driver of the engine', showing your age there !

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
A Whaddon Road burger was pretty grim. It seemed as if they had bulked up the meat with grit and gravel. Plus it was served by a bunch of neandethals that obviously had hygiene issues.

Just far enough away from LDC
Had one at Macclesfield a few years ago (the day after england beat scotland at hampden).

We drew with Macc and I think Mayo scored the equaliser late on.

anyway had a burger and then 4 hours into the journey home it hit me. Was locked in a coach loo with a might deluge coming from both ends. Coach loo sinks are not made to cope with vomit!!

my first job was at casey jones brighton, used to cook all the burgers

I used to work at Casey Jones on Liverpool Street station. Loved the burgers and the half pounders were so good that Clive Allen used to have one every day on his way home from training.

Southampton
Wrexham a couple of seasons back - cooked off site and kept warm in a silver-lined paper bag - tasted like the sole of a shoe - might of had more flavour if it came with shit on !

London Road for me. I think they did a similar thing to that at Wrexham.

Had a disgusting boil in the bag burger from a dodgy burger van outside Wigan pier once, so disgusting I actually complained which is very unlike me. He told me to feck off and what did i want for £1.

Grubbs are the best in the uk
Most American burgers beat english ones hands down, although The Hartington pub do a nice chicken salsa burgar.
