It's been a fantastic knock by the kid. It be must intimidating facing Yorkshire in gloomy conditions and he's done well.

It's been a great recovery by Sussex; when we were 68-4, I thought we'd struggle to last till tea but what a fightback. A fine innings by Brown but Thomason and Ibrahim have played a part too.

I wondered if ibrahim would do what a lot of talented young players do - stay in for a while without taking any chances. This ultra cautious approach is understandable but it is usually at the expense of scoring runs.
In the last half hour or so Ibrahim stepped it up moving from
“Looks composed” to “run accumulator”. Very good.
Over to you Clark, Coles etc

Even if he hadn't accelerated, it would have been a decent innings. Partly because Brown was scoring freely but also because it eats up time. If we can somehow bat beyond lunch tomorrow - even if we've only scored 350 - it puts pressure on Yorkshire to score quickly as they really need to win.

Ibrahim looks a real prospect, and Brown is so often our best batsman. It's been a riveting watch on YouTube. I've got tickets for Saturday which looks a better buy than it did just after lunch. Maybe I'll see Head make some runs, it has to happen one day.

On his current form, you have more chance of him giving you head.:annoyed:

:lolol:

I didn't recognise his name in Cricinfo so was rather surprised when I looked him up to see he was 16.

Hopefully he'll make it to 50 tomorrow. Good that he's batting with Brown.

Two months in, give him a chance.

Agreed, could take four or five months to get going. Hopefully he'll be firing on all cylinders come October.

Brown out early doors - he wasn't happy about it but it looked out to me

Time for the kids to dig in
