Really pleased for Dan - my son has played against him a few times over the years, and with him in the U18s this season. Good lad, and totally deserves his chance.
So nice to see him get his 50 and a wicket....great debut.

Shame his bowling is handicapped by the "5 over max" limit. 5-1-14-1 And then has to be taken off.
I was aware of the rule but didn't think it would apply in county cricket. Probably a reason why young bowlers aren't given the opportunity. It's akin to Rooney making his PL debut and having to be subbed off after 30 minutes.
What is this rule? I know the numbers of overs that can be bowled is specified in the shorter format games, but what rule is being applied here?
