I said 'I believe'... I didnt dismiss it outright..I didnt say it wasnt...its my belief that this was most likely done by a rightwinger.

EDL have a track history of ratcheting up the tension in periods running up to their demos.. Both Tommy Tango, and his cousin have been 'attacked' by 'armed groups of muslims' just before demos....
They peddled a lie about a child being raped just before the Newcastle demo, and just before their Whitehall demo...Islam is scrawled on a monument...convenient timing again.
I imagine there is cctv in the area, so, im sure it will come out either way, but sorry, i think these people are very capable of doing it, so think taking it a face value is also a cop out.

I was accosted earlier today by a skinhead in a burka and forced to press a poppy in a copy of the Koran. The UAF chaps were trying to make me grow dreadlocks and stop bathing it was all rather horrible.

IMO the figures can be read in different ways. Firstly most people in this country are not anti-Muslim bigots and have little time for fascist and racist louts. Secondly there have been some attacks on Muslims and they should be deplored rather than ignored but we do not have the race war that I suspect the EDL and it's wealthy backers would like.

Not sure how they could be read in different ways really. Anyway i suppose we agree there is no place for bigots and racists, and that would include the radicals who are racists against anybody that does not suit their ideology and the UAF who indeed have very wealthy backers with money from the unions.
