Whereas the more committed amongst us will be sitting in the fridge that is the Amex during the game, and commuting to the relative warmth of the drafty concourse to warm up at half time.

I'd imagine your commute is a tad closer than mine

I've served my time

Wolverhampton away night match in the 70's

Orange ball and a Wardy hatrick or was it a brace?

Back in those days I am not sure whether the cold weather or the "Subway Army" was a greater threat to personal safety. It was not a great place to go in those days, as I experienced.

Indeed

I remember the gates being opened before the end and loads of Wolves causally walking in taking pot shots at anyone

My mate had foolishly worn a donkey jacket with BHA crudely painted on the back

It was a very cold night though

As the slippery run back to the station testified:lolol:

Getting smashed to bits tonight in deepest darkest Wales winds gusting at 76mph and marble sized hailstones, I shall pray for everyone's safety tomorrow evening as you could be in for a horrific 20mph breeze :D

Look at those top flight attendances:

Arsenal 18,000
Bristol City 12,00
Ipswich 18,000
Wolves 15,000

Absolutely pathetic.

Was Das Reich old enough to be there, with his firm of youngers and elders, I wonder? Actually, no I don't

Anyone hankering for the 'good old days' needs to keep a spare bottle top in his inside pocket, to avoid a conniption fit ???

West Ham 11,000 in Div 2. Massive club that they are.
