Heading back from southern Spain with little more than a light jacket for company, so anticipating a shock at Gatwick. Mind you, if forecast is right, said jacket will still be recovering from showers and 5C at the uncovered Real Betis stadium on Thursday night!

Haven’t needed to yet, but you wouldn’t spot them. They look like motorcycle gloves. The batteries are very small

I swear by heated gloves for a very cold cycle to work. Not needed them yet but will do as soon as the temperature drops below freezing. Too big for the football though.

My son's under 11s side has a Saturday lunchtime away fixture somewhere out on the windswept expanses of the Cambridgeshire Fens, FFS.

Forecast currently showing 2 degrees with sleet on a "freshening breeze" which means it will feel probably like minus 5.
