Quite the opposite. The numbers are a clue.
Whereas the more committed amongst us will be sitting in the fridge that is the Amex during the game, and commuting to the relative warmth of the drafty concourse to warm up at half time.

Back in those days I am not sure whether the cold weather or the "Subway Army" was a greater threat to personal safety. It was not a great place to go in those days, as I experienced.
