. CKR did not look interested. .

During the 2nd half Ben asked him for his autograph and i9f there was any truth in the rumour of himgoing to Sheff Utd and he said" That was my last game for Brighton I am signing for Sheff Utd on Monday".

I hope he was joking but when I suggested this to my brother his answer was that if he was going why did MM play him today? Why would Warnock let him play. Then I thought that perhaps Warnock wants him to get games under his belt at this time of the season and if he was injured it wouldnt matter they would just not sign him if it was serious. I dont know the answer but I cannot understand why he wouldn't have just said to Ben no its a rumour. I hope that he doesnt go but who knows.

Good workout today, has to be better than last year's 4-3 you would think against the same opponents.

The good news was that the best player on the pitch by far is ours for a fair while, Jake Robinson - some of those 3-year contracts might actually pay off! :D

A relation of one of the players told me that Wilkins took charge of the home strip Albion in the first half and Booker the away strip lot in the second.

Perhaps even Worthing were slightly the better team in the first half. The defence looked pretty rusty, centre-back is a strong position for us so Mendy really will have to do magically well to get a contract, unlikely.

I thought our best player in that half was Biakolo who showed great workrate and a nice ability to create a bit of space for himself away from defenders. Kuipers, perhaps because he owes us five months' worth of games, was trying a bit too hard when he conceded the pen but his jumping up and down on the goalline he might well have psyched out the Worthing pen taker.

Second half - completely different story. More pace in the team to punish the tiring Worthing team on a hot day. Revell showed some nice touches, intelligence, presence and got his goal, although it was an easy finish. Jake's pace and ability to beat men created havoc - he caught out the goalie (May?) to nip in his first and then the dozing Worthing leftback played him onside and he finished a one-on-one with the goalie calmly.

Carpenter was I thought our most influential central midfielder on show in either half. Williams had a quiet game. Bagayoko didn't actually do a great deal but it was a great relief to actually see a very quick athlete playing LB for us at long last, so I can see why McGhee was pleased. Lynch again looked very classy. Hendo had little to do but showed his class with an excellent save from a quickly taken Worthing free kick. Brittain was a livewire but I would have liked to have seen him beat opponents with a bit of trickery a la Carole but he seems more similar to Frutos.

Quite encouraging, all in all - not due to the 4-0 against lowly opponents but simply because maybe 1 or 2 of these triallists look possible signings - and the Revell/Robinson partnership was eye-catching.

Whilst I would accept what LI says about Revell /Robinson partnership nI will reserve judgement because this is the standard at which Revell scored 35 goals and is below the standard at which Robinson excelled for Aldershot lets see how they do against better opposition than Worthing who were poor 2nd half.
