Definitely give Brittain another game on the right. Looks like he needs games but on the half I saw of him he is someone we could do with now Seb has gone.

Reckon Bagayoko is worth another game as well. Revell and Robinson linked up quite well - big man small man combo like to see more of them.

Mendy and Butters did not really gel that well and need games together.

In midfield Hammond did not do that much first half - wish he would impose himself more. Dont think Williams will be a player for us. This is an area we need to strengthen. Chippy did well second half for us though.

Great to see Kuipers back but would still pick Hendo over him.

Defensively in the second half Harty, Lynch and El Abd looked composed and we have quite a few options there especially if Mendy comes good.

I said a few days ago that Bagayoko is a good left back, diffinitely his superb sprint down the flank in the second half. I hope we sign him up.

So, based on what you saw, what would your first choice line up be for the next friendly match, and possibly the start of the season if we sign some of the triallists?

Henderson, Reid, El-Abd, Butters, Bagayoko, Brittain/Cox, Carpenter, Hammond, Frutos, Revell, Robinson.

- Didn't think much of Mendy (Center back), kept backing off and wouldn't make a tackle. Then got too close too his man who turned him easy.

- Biakolo (striker) played some nice passes and didn't get many opprtunities in front of goal.

- Bagayoko was pretty athletic and did alright at left back. Shame that when he did get forward he often wasn't given the ball.

- Williams has a very good pass on him but may be a bit light weight for a central midfielder.

- Brittain was the other side of the pitch too me so possibly was too far away to judge fairly. Didn't seem to do that much but had a few nice touches and forward runs.

- Frutos was very good. Cox did well. Loft was decent, got forward well. Revell played well, good positioning.

Brittain looks like he could do a job now Carole's left although he does need games. Bagayoko looked solid and with Lynch, Hart and El-Abd at the back we never looked like conceding in the 2nd Half. I'm not sure about Mendy, probably worth another look though as is Biakolo, who looked good at times. I would like to have seen Albert Jarrett have a run out today though. As for Williams, I didn't really notice he was there.

"My life's in pieces"
Mark McGhee's thoughts from the official site:

Mark McGhee was pleased with the afternoon's work - and particularly impressed with the Robinson and Revell partnership. He said, "They looked good, they looked bright and they looked enthusiastic.
"They showed willing and Alex Revell showed one of the things we liked about him and why we signed him: how hard he is prepared to work."
McGhee also gave his appraisal on the trialists "I thought Martin [Brittain] did well; he showed his style and he's got something we could benefit from. Stephane [Biakolo] did okay again he showed his style... we'll look closer at him.
Leo [Mendy] showed his pace, but he's not neccessarily the type of centre half we looking for so we'll have to have a think about that one. Jaques [Williams] looks a good player; a good footballer so we'll take a closer look at him.
"Zoumana [Bagayoko] at left-back was terrific and I was well pleased with what I saw of him... He's a good passer of the ball and he's quick and aggressive on the edge of his own box - I was pleased with him."

1) How do you know that in the first place?

2) Does that mean you don't ever talk to yourself?

I Liked Biakolo thought held up the ball well. He kept saying oi as he did'nt know peoples names. CKR was acceptable but most impressed with Jake.
Kuipers not to assured in goal but second half was a reasonable display

So basically we're looking at all of them, but Mendy looks like the first to the house then ...
