That moment alone was worth the effort of dragging myself out of my sickbed to go today. Well chuffed for him.

He's a good player who just hasn't had the rub of the green. He is capable of getting goals all day long in the chanpionsgip

The precision through-pass from Spanish Dave made all the difference.

He wouldn't have been in the right position. Hoskins is so much better positionally, definitely deserves a start vs Derby imo.

Sadly for CMS, this. I thought CMS looked thoroughly pissed off at the service he was receiving quite a few times.

Agree and if he was his first touch would have left him near the corner flag.

To be fair, CMS didn't get much service, but as I say, I think it's in a large part down to his positioning. He always makes runs down the wing down a blind alley, he needs to be running at the centre backs who are most likely slower and trying to create good goalscoring opportunities.

Have been a staunch supporter of CMS, but have to say today he looked out of place and Hoskins runs and positioning looked a class above and with a bit of luck he could have scored another after taking his goal briliantly. Got to be given a run in the side now surely.

I'm a fan of CMS, but am not convinced he's a lone target man, as we often play him, and there are definitely aspects of his game that need improving - such as touch. Hoskins' simple run from an offside position off CBs shoulder was classic centre forward play, and something we don't see enough of from CMS.
